Agreed, I just go through reading Revelation today. God says there are things that are not and cannot be revealed now- so even if you somehow truly could understand everything in Revelation (which some people say you can, I respectfully disagree) you still don't know the whole of it. I have never been so relieved to get to the 2 last chapters of any book I've every read, as I was with Revelation.

If anyone hasn’t watched that actual interview I would recommend it to you. It’s very informative. Their display of love for one another though differing in opinion needs to be amplified in the church of Christ as a whole. To often we are a bunch of argumentative, fickle people. Lord help us to be your hands and feet and to carry the gospel to the lost and dying!

Get your eschatology ready because you are about to hear some jokes on how Jesus Christ comes back! Grab your pineapple pizza, this is about to get funny! This was an unusual episode for the series. Usually I often intersplice a variety of different clips to create an episode. But the context of some of these videos was eschatology, a very specific area of theology, and it had to be put together side by side to make the most sense. Luckily there were enough clips to create a regular episode. And in case anyone is confused as to the different positions, here is a short description of each (Copied from Desiring God): (Premil) Premillennialism (represented by Jim Hamilton): The return of Christ happens before (pre-) the thousand-year reign of Christ, which is a reign of the risen Christ on the earth. (Amil) Amillennialism (represented by Sam Storms): The return of Christ happens after the thousand-year reign, a reign that occurs in heaven, in the intermediate state, and not upon the earth. Those who have died in faith and entered into the presence of Christ share his rule and reign during the current church age in which we now live. (Postmil) Postmillennialism (represented by Doug Wilson): The return of Christ happens after (post-) the thousand-year reign, which corresponds to the Christian age, and the reign of Christ from heaven leads the church to triumph by and through the gospel to such an extent that the Great Commission will be successfully fulfilled, and the Christian faith will pervade all the cultures of all the nations of men. All Christ’s enemies will be subdued in this way, with the exception of death, which he will destroy by his coming. John Piper was moderating, but he would be a Premil. Dr. Hamilton is my pastor so I wanted to share this anecdote. Sometimes he'll be away giving a lecture and miss a Sunday service. The next week, as he's greating everyone who missed him last Sunday, he'll shake their hands and say "Glad to have you back". It's the most alpha thing I've ever witnessed.

when the little people ask me if [fill in the blank] is in heaven, my response is the same: "either that, or something better will be there." So, there will be football, or something better. (Like Rugby!) :-) My daughter asked me if our dog will go to heaven, then if there are any dogs in heaven; so, I said that dogs will be there, or something better. She said she couldn't imagine anything better than dogs. So, based on the combined information...there will be dogs in heaven. And, so on....

If you enjoy reading, I highly recommend the book "The meaning of the millennium". They take the four different views, give them each a chapter to state their case, ame then the other three reply to it. It is completely fair how it is written.
