That was impressive. The 'scientific' exposition which was done by Dr. Van Til in his works as taught here gave rigor that can be understood by the diligent student of the Word and of Reformed Theology. Knowing these distinctives of Reformed doctrinal orthodoxy helps clear out the smoke of probable heresy which may arise for those who find Systematic Theology, particularly in the topic of the Trinity, to be complex. While I know that these are not as exhaustive as it can be when it comes to expounding upon the doctrine of the Holy Trinity, it will help build foundations for those wanting to understand the said doctrine as it was revealed in the Scriptures. I hope more churches from the Reformed, Evangelical tradition would preach in this manner for the health and joy of each faithful congregantʼs soul. Thank you so much for this, Reformed Forum and Mid-America Reformed Seminary! God is really glorious in Himself as He reveals to humanity.

So could we say in particular then that in Cornelius Van Til's theology, there is a unipersonal identity of the one divine essence? Likewise could the same be said of the theology of others like A. A. Hodge and Herman Bavinck? And then if so, here's the next burning question: in Van Til's (and relevant others') theology, is this unipersonal identity of the divine essence communicated to the humanity of Christ?

The economic is a mirror of the immanent. This is a truth reflected throughout many, many Reformed dogmatics.

So individuation or distinction within God obtains by relational ontology affirming God has essential properties. However, if God has essential properties it seems to deny strong simplicity.

Strong divine simplicity seems to entail the Trinity is illogical. For example, if each person of the Trinity is wholly and entirely God (i.e. all of what and who God is) then one person is the Trinity.
