You might want to check your companions civilian gear. You'll find another set of vampire armour there to re-equip Berlinda or make some cash from it.

I just got my first caravan, it has 30 troops in it, he's only been attacked once and luckily I was nearby, most of the baddies will run from a party of 30, and the companion attached to it gets hella skill increases, idk if they can get party increase though

I've found it really useful at early levels against deserters etc to bring my cav around the flank and then harass the enemy archers, can be very effective even with o ly a couple of cav units. Works really well with the new targeted attack orders.

As far as trade routes, you can hover over a trade good in the buy menu of a town and it should say if there is a deal, example being flax in the town you are in can be bought for 37, and it'll say it can be sold for 81 in a nearby town, or pottery is 600, and it'll say you can buy it for only 180 in another town

Personally, it might be interesting to recruit a mixture of troops from all cultures, along with the Troops of Renown - those Free Companies look interesting.

Need to recruit more mortals for some bowmen. At some point just having a mosspit with skeletons isn't going to be enough! That, and you need some living to make some dead.

In my experience so far caravans are a bad choice as they get mobbed almost instantly

I feel like maybe the horses shouldnt give speed bonuses to the undead. Ever seen a zombie riding a horse? No, they bite em. Sure they HAVE cavalry, but its small and elite i.e Blood Dragons.

Yea but then they should also increase the base undead speed by a decent amount then. Because they don't get tired after marching 18 straight hours.
