I literally just got done watching the daily brief. Stomp Bag 1.0 is behind me, ARK on my gun belt behind me and my Bearfak 3.0 is in the pickup. First off, good review 👍. I've heard others break down costs and try to give refuge a hard time, not saying you did you were just showing the example of benefit. I get your concerns about what you'd like in the bucket or as mentioned the add ons (I don't think a TQ is an add on, you have to go to the section and add it). I think it depends on the approach to the bucket. I approach this as supplemental to my kits I have so being more gauze heavy coincides with that, again I have an $1100 STOMP Bag with the other things in it. I didn't question the cost of my materials, well my wallet did as it had a couple butterflies, but I was buying the refuge team as much as the product. Also, I likely wouldn't have known what to source without just copying someone anyway. Things I know: 3) They only operate on a 5% margin, 2) it's quality gear and as much USA product as they can source at the time while trying to simultaneously build domestically behind the scenes, and 1) They do it for the right reasons ie. their company slogan and how so many of them are also involved with Grindstone Ministries and Kaleb House

well, after dealing with embedded woodchips in son's knee, allergic dermatitis resulting in abscesses (Hubby), and then a laceration in son's hand from a shattered bowl (4 stitches) I see the need of just having basic first aid here at the house. I'd recommend "self-adhering", also known as "coband", to also have. Excellent for holding bandages on, and doesn't stick to skin. And even if you can't do the suturing, if you have the tools there may be someone who does have that skill. The surgical kit looks like a dissection kit! I guess that makes sense. You got me thinking about this. Thanks!

The wood chips ordeal in your boys knee was intense! Thanks for the recommendation!

@@reasonablyprepared I thought of another thing: no stick pads. Gauze will soak up a lot of liquid, blood etc, but if you cover a bleeding wound with it, when it comes time to change the gauze, it will take the scab off with the gauze. the no stick pads do better at not becoming apart of the scab. The coband is also great for stabilizing a bone/joint. Used it when other son broke his thumb!

The name of the tool, needle driver. Love the work you did to price check. I would have to say though; this kit is not for the layperson. Great vid and keep ‘em coming.

Awe man… thanks for the definition! As far as not for the layperson, I somewhat agree. But I do think everyone should still buy this to aid anyone who is trained in medical within their personal tribe. If we all have some amount of medical supplies, regardless of training, we are are all better for it. Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it:-) Thanks for the kind words and we are working on TONS of content!

@@reasonablyprepared in that case, I agree and highly recommend the addition of medical knowledge. I have purchased literally 100% of my textbooks for school on Amazon. You don’t have to be enrolled in a class to get the books. And “last year’s” edition that no longer work for me (sigh 😞) can be bought used for pennies on the dollar. Treatment done wrong can sometimes be worse than doing nothing. An example here is sterile sutures without sterile gloves, needle driver, and drape (each wound) kinda defies the purpose; then you get infected, could lead to sepsis and death. So, if the gear is for the medical professional in your tribe, make sure they are the one using it. Again, great content and I look forward to seeing more.

Its mostly gauze and pads and cleaning supplies. It is the definition of a layperson supply.
