It has nothing to do with the colour of his skin, it is his ability to make compound sentences with depth and avoid using 'like' to prop up his thoughts. Thankfully, there was none 😁. That truly drives me nuts.... There are too many people of his age in the public eye who cannot put two sentences together. I have listened to interviews with his (young) colleagues and hands down, he is the most articulate and thoughtful of the lot. Not that they are not lovely in their own way....

I KNOW ALL I NEED TO KNOW...AND THAT IS REGE-JEAN IS THE BEST THING SINCE, SINCE EVER! Made a grown woman say, "good god", and "jesus" when he swaggered on the scene. Rege-Jean, you were born to play, "THE DUKE ". There are many elements to Rege's performance that MADE the romance, and his part in BRIDGERTON so important, so palatable, opinions life-altering for so many of us. No one else had all of the things Rege has, all in one. Not even an actor who does possess a British accent. You can't TEACH that voice, the lilting huskiness at the most opportune times. Very sexy without him trying to be sexy. The eyes, the smile, lips, the hands, stature, body, walk/stroll, carriage, speech, hair, face. Can't teach or mimic that either. Either you have it, or you don't. Nothing fake in his entire performance. Ditto Phoebe. The young lady couldn't have been more effective if she tried. Such perfection in character creation, Phoebe is indeed, "flawless". The ENTIRE, I mean ENTIRE cast is perfection. Name a character, any character, and I can list the layers of their performance, the characterizations. I just realized from all the BRIDGERTON posts that I have watched, that I had seen Rege-Jean before. I watched the legal program he was on. I thought him a very clean-cut handsome, really good actor! Not cast opposite the right person on that show. Not memorable, no chemistry whatsoever. I remember thinking, how nice of this man to pay this woman some attention. The LOOK Rege-Jean had in BRIDGERTON, much, much better. Some hair on the back of his head, not too closely shaven at the nape of the neck, just the perfect amount of facial hair. It all made him look, "dashing"! The walk, the gait he has naturally does not hurt. Noooo, Phoebe is the PERFECT actor to play opposite you. Phoebe is exceptional. There's EVERYTHING present between the two of you to feed a romance..."LOOK JUST HERE"!! Phoebe is simply a phenomenal actor. Just the right height, beauty, expressions, voice, accent, tone and mannerisms. The audience is immediately drawn to you as a couple. We are on the edge, pulling for your union. I replay the jaunty little dance scene from episode 2, over again. You can see the connection, the two of you enjoying that dance. Whether it's because dancing is fun, because you got it perfectly right and don't have to keep shooting it, or because you rehearsed it so many times previously it gives you a giggle to be doing it now for the camera.

Yes. a handsome man absolutely, but I never fully paid attention attention to him until Bridgerton. He owned the Dutch. The Dutch is simply everyone's romantic dream. He was honest with Daphne, protected her, and then he committed to her to saver her honor....Just all of that. The fact that he never really smiled until he met her; and whew...how he looked at her. Wow. See these are actors....just being on screen and owning the fullness of falling in love and being in love. I loved it. I look forward to seeing him on the screen even more.
