This is one on the best lines ever, on any show. It demonstrates how extremely different the standards are between men and women. Society feels that women’s nipples are always sexual, and therefore always inappropriate, and always need to be censored (by someone else, and not the women who owns them). Even if women are doing something completely innocent and not at all sexual, like feeding a baby!! But men on the other hand have the freedom to expose their nipples whenever they want to whomever they want, with no outside censorship, societal judgment or going to prison, because they deserve to be in charge of their own nipples… Even though men have completely useless nipples and they will never NEED to expose their nipples, because they will never breastfeed a baby. So women’s nipples are too inappropriate even to be seen while preventing infants from starvation, but men’s nipples are totally fine to be exposed even for sexual reasons like during a super sexy, sex scene, which is obviously very sexual!! Why because everyone knows that men NEED the freedom to choose. Women on the other hand have been fighting for the freedom to choose since the dawn of time, and they are still fighting for it now just as much as ever. Even though women NEED and DESERVE to make choices for their own bodies just as much or more than men do.

@@Carmelle747 That makes sense. I read recently that they clear the set or have only female staff, which was news to me. I assumed the director would be yelling instructions lol. @Carmelle7473 жыл бұрын
@@greent16 It's interesting, how things have changed so much. There was terrible abuse on set. Salma Hayek comes to mind. More recently, plenty of feeling obligated, uncomfortable, implied power dynamics- that was going on during filming of GOT. What was "business as usual" for how people should be treated, what is expected, etc. is turned on its head in a good way imo. I think the exact procedures vary from one set to another, but the job of the intimacy coordinator is the same at its core. Lots of checking in on the actors, establishing and respecting boundaries, working with the director to ensure it's abided.
