Presented in the hugely popular new walnut effect finish, the 50th anniversary Planar 3 is supplied with a hand tuned Neo PSU MK2 and the handmade Rega Exact moving magnet cartridge factory fitted. The drive system uses our Reference EBLT drive belt and our 24V motor fitted with a custom CNC’d aluminium drive pulley to deliver the absolute best in performance and accuracy. The Anniversary Edition is badged with exclusive aluminium plinth and lid badges for the finishing touch.

My local dealer has taken a deposit today and I should have it in a few months. Only £899.00 in the UK which is considerably cheaper than the USA price. Rega Also did a 40th Anniversary version 10 years ago, but it did cost more. The 50th is a bargain.

How does the P3 anniversary compare to the P6 , with now the difference being plinth. Platter & sub platter . Can these make a big difference in sound quality between the two decks .

The P6 is still a superior sounding table, and it is noticeable. The P3 Anniversary is a nice bump from a standard P3, but to answer the question yes, all the details add up and make a difference.
