Should pair nicely. We’ve used rega with Dali in the past and it’s a great matchup. Definitely not a bright sound. We don’t like bright amps.

Yes, and an upgraded power supply, top of the line cartridge, and modified internal mechanics no other Planar 3 has in a walnut finish, at a price you can’t beat at al. But yeah, let’s focus on the badge! Hehehaha so funny.

@@Dreamonoids I wouldn't mind so much if the 'walnut finish' was actually real veneer but it's plastic. At those prices that is disgraceful. Also that cartridge is far from being 'top of the line'. I'd be curious to hear how much you were paid for this glowing review as no way was this a purely critical review, it was basically an advert.

This isn’t a review. I sell them, and I sell them because I believe they are the best. The cart is top of the line in its price point. Wait till you see my next unpaid advert for the Rega P3 RS. You’ll like that one.

I’d have to disagree and say the internal DAC is quite good now. Rega’s research and development doesn’t put out products that aren’t well thought out and tested.

ATC themselves make phenomenal amps that pair very well with ATC, but I’ve been enjoying their combination with Rega, specifically the Elex MK5, Elicit, and Aethos.

I have these with a marantz M1. It’s amazing. The M1 is a 100W 2 channel and I can’t run it over 30% power or it’s uncomfortably loud. I’d definitely recommend the M1. Cheers.

I would look into changing the cart first, but see how it sounds first. The Ania Pro was always one of my favorites on the P6.

@@Dreamonoids I don't know about an MC cart. I'd have to spend extra for a new phono pre and wasn't originally going to buy one anyways for the AT cart, but the gain from the phono input in my AVR was too small to ignore (had to crank the volume to get any decent sound)...I'm not even positive about the table upgrade - I mean, if it ain't broken.... I would be more inclined if I was forced, to upgrade the cart and keep the table, or have my dealer replace the RB220 with an RB330. Right now I'm just evaluating my options. Seems like the P6 is just a completely different animal than the P2. Thanks for the reply, though :)

Better sound during our head to head testing.

The owner was a DJ in college and loves playing modern music such as EDM, and Pop. The amp performs fantastically.

@@Dreamonoids I would only use the Optical SPDIF connection. Is the internal DAC good sounding like an external DAC around 800€?

It all depends on your loudspeakers. The MK5 pairs nicely with every table you’ve mentioned. It’s hard to beat in its weight class.

To be honest I’m not sure. Adjusting the equalizer is against my philosophy, but I hopefully someone in the comments can see this, and give a good answer.

@Dreamonoids don't project your stereotypes. I've never had a Crosley. You can still buy an AR XA or a quartz locked Japanese DD table for around $500, for example. You don't have to spend thousands on a TT to really enjoy music.

Well if you already own an RP10 I’d just relax and enjoy, but if you’re just trying to find the best of the best then I’d say the Planar 10 skeletal plinth is 30% lighter than the original RP10 while offering increased rigidity over the previous model. Less mass means superior sound. This is all based on Rega’s core principal found in their book, “A Vibration Measuring Machine.” Rega puts extensive time into their R&D, and they only release new models when they have vastly outperformed their predecessor. That being said the RP10 is formidable to almost any turntable, just slightly dated now.

@@Dreamonoids I have thought about replacing them as my amplification and front ends have improved, but nothing else, except for another classic speaker has ever tempted me to part with my cash. I did so for a pair of mint TDL Studio 1 Mk 2's with stands. They now live in my man cave while the DC's continue to grace the living room.

You could, but I would recommend the Elex at the minimum for best results. They probably would still sound great through Brio.
