I’ve just added a couple of these to my P9 , wow I’m amazed really.I usually change my belts once a year with the white belts but this really is a step up.

The P9, nice. Comments like this are very helpful to others on the fence.

How long should I go between belt changes in your opinion Joey? I think Rega days 5 years, but I have been replacing yearly.
@joeylopezphd3 жыл бұрын
Tony your reasoning makes sense to me, but I also change my tires before the wear bars are hit. It really depends on people's usage and environment, so many factors.

I have a 2018 planar 2 and the belt squeaks at startup and at shut down. Is that normal?

Might be time for a new belt. I'd take it into your local dealer to have it inspected.

@@Dreamonoids How much is the belt?
@mattharwood44133 жыл бұрын
@@lawrencecabrera5937 That's the "Rega Creak". It's a known thing. My old belt always did it and now I have a new reference belt and it does it. It also does it if you put a static brush on the LP while its moving. Look on some of the Rega threads,

How does this belt improve the sound? It doesn't improve speed accuracy, even if it was less sticky, tat has not been an issue with original belts. Please explain what is different and how that difference improves performance. This is not a subjective thing, it's a belt so there has to be some empirical data, backing objective performance numbers.

Put a worn out old belt on your turntable that’s cracking and see how it sounds.

@@Dreamonoids Apparently you were shuffled into a spam folder and apparently, you didn't read my question, and did you know that if you put a flat tire on a car, see how that rides? I'll be clearer; how does this reference belt improve sonics on a Rega 3 24 volt motor, with a neo power supply with a 3 month old eblt advanced drive belt?
