Regeneration of Gloucester Railway Station moves a step closer

Hmm Waste of money. Like trying to polish a "T***". Damage was done in the mid 70s when Gloucester Eastgate station was shut. This means that relatively few trains now call at Gloucester & the city is real a lost cause as far as rail travel is concerned BTW. This video clearly shows the site of the former Gloucester Eastgate station. It was where the Asda supermarket now stands. It was far larger and more significant than the surviving Gloucester Central station, which was rather punny in comparison.
