With the greatest respect, if you're in a reggae band and using the techniques described by Tomas, then you're not playing the music that reggae exponents and fans would recognise. The adoption of other cultures is great, but we should respect the media. I suggest you listen to old stool Jamaican reggae, then look for Tuff Lion John Jesus, Steve Golding and or Xyan. These guts will show you how to play the music properly. One Love

As a result of your post, I listened to some Ugandan reggae, and it sounds like they use the same tracks as Jamaican reggae just change the lyrics.
