THere's no one like her. There never will be. A talent, a voice, a bit of pure musical energy that will never be duplicated, and never, ever be forgotten.

man, that feeling and the energy she gets on stage will never be replicated. that energy will never die.

Hey people Janis had so much personality humor and so much more talent than other female singers ! There will never be another Janis !

Another poster wrote “The only one, number one, in a field of one” and he was right. I loved her and everything about her. Her voice and delivery came from her soul’s core. No one. Not one will ever come close to leaving everything they’ve got on the stage like Janis did. She opened her veins and bled her feelings. I was a couple of years younger than Janis so we witnessed a lot in our young years. She was the Voice. The Anthem for us and the message was clear. Be yourself. Walking down the street she was Janis. Playing with the guys she was Janis. Her energy and bright light was so different because she was a sincere individual. She was Janis. I’m thrilled so many of you who are younger are able to appreciate these phenomenal artists from my era. We felt pain, we felt joy, we watched as our friends and family went to a senseless war. Janis came to us at just the right time. Sadly, she had to die young. There wasn’t much left as she gave it all to us. About the band in this video, they’re a bunch of corpses. I’ve never seen such a disconnect as in this vid. Just my opinion.

She announced the Aug 6 1970 "Festival of Peace" concert at Shea Stadium on this Dick Cavett show and hinted she might show up. At about 8pm she walked up on stage over second base and reunited with Big Brother for a set that blew 25,000+ peoples' minds. I've never seen a singer who gave more of herself since that night. And i know in my heart that I never will.

And when I work hard all day long I tell you what, it don't bother me nohow, 'Cause how could anything ever go wrong When I got my baby, Lord, yes, When I got my baby, oh Lord! And when they tell me love is pain I said it might be true for you, honey, But not for Janis no more, no no no no. All I've ever got to do is call my daddy's name Yeah and I got m-my baby, Lord, yeah, Yes I got my baby, good good God, Honey, I wanna tell you something that I do. Deep down, h-honey, in the dark of the night, When I lay my head down, I wanna go to sleep, And I know everything is gonna be alright, Yeah I got my baby, Lord yeah, 'Cause I got m-my baby, oh yeah. And when I wanna call the names Or the things to be that wanna be to you. And when I wanna reach out my hand It always seems you hold me, dear, Love, don't you know how long I looked for you Daddy, daddy, daddy. Love, don't you know how hard I tried, But now I got my baby, Lord, yeah, Now I got my baby, yeah.
