Black Uhuru was never as good without Miss Puma Jones... Also _Brutal_ and it's _dubs_ are Black Uhuru's _magnum opus..._ yes that's one man's opinion in an ocean of them.

@@ReggaeStrongTV Diana, what about your statement here on video description: " I realized how tired I am of the of the slights to Junior Reid, " Who were slighting Junior Reid? the reviews? or the public? or maybe other Uhuru members (duckie, for instance). In a recent podcat with Muscle, I saw Duckie citing Junior Reid as a "singjay" and that he couldnt handle Uhuru`s lead vocals...

@@ReggaeStrongTV Oh I See. Some people are really radical. I am a die-hard fan of J Reid, M. Rose and D. Carlos, and I consider both them extremelly talented artists. Inside black uhuru, Michael Rose was really the best, but the 2 others gave a tremendous contribution to the group. But concerning solo carrer, Don carlos and junior reid went way better than Michael Rose. Just my opinion.
@ReggaeStrongTV
@ReggaeStrongTV Жыл бұрын
@@fabriciotonelli5396 my opinion is that Puma Jones never gets her due. It was Puma's presence in that group--with both Michael and Junior--that made Black Uhuru distinctive. Every time I hear people comparing lead singers I have to shake my head. Puma was the singular performer; her presence, her dancing, her tone, the sound and vibe she gave that group was the key element that I believe people miss, even though they focus on lead singers. And Duckie will always deserve the credit for bringing a woman's presence upfront in a reggae trio.
