Unguided Reaper when people speak of elite qbs, hall of famers, pure greatness. Brees is never brought up. Watch any sports analyst. They talk Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, Ben Roethlisberger. Brees is consistently great, but left out of the talks. The man threw for 5 5,000 yard seasons, but is treated as a foot note. A qb that was unwanted by scouts because "he's too short to play qb". I'm serious, go and watch any topic about great qbs. Brees is left out because of a bad defense.

Reggie Bush was the visual representation of what every high school running back aspires to be in their careers! He had all the highlights, won multiple bowl games and championships, video game cover (NCAA Football 2007), won the Heisman trophy, AND topped it all off by getting drafted 2nd overall in the 2006 NFL draft! Oh and he won a Super Bowl with the Saints!

Reggie is a good running back. With the 49ers (my team) it was our fault, we sucked and he had injury problems with no faith to renew contract. Bills issues are covered in this interview. The rest of his career was pretty good; the Saints he played for 5 years and has a ring, was consistently good, and his tenure with Maimi/ Detroit was solid (tbh he should have stayed he could have become a franchise RB for Detroit).

Anyone expected to be the next Barry Sanders is being set up to fail. NO ONE will ever come close to being as amazing as Barry. And unfortunately, we'll never see anyone that has that east to west running style again. Coaches don't have the patience or fortitude to risk losing yards these days. Barry's son was amazing, but look what happened to him. What a waste. The days of one main RB are fading fast. Now they run with 3-4 backs. It's really sad 😢
@mykull666
@mykull666 5 жыл бұрын
Elliott, Bell, Johnson, Gurley, Fournette, Gordon, Howard, McCoy, and Hunt are all pretty much feature backs, Cooks was looking to be one before he got hurt, the Saints will be moving on from Ingram after this year and people seem to think Kamara will be an every down back and there were three RB's taken in the first round and four more in the second round of this year's draft. So, that is 20 teams that already have or look as if they plan on having a feature running back in the next few years. There was also one taken in the third round and five in the fourth round, so those teams are hoping to find a steal in the draft. If Rod Smith from the Cowboys keeps playing the way he has, some team is gonna offer him a bunch of money to try and be their feature back. NFL linebackers keep getting smaller because it has been a passing league, so it's the perfect time for teams to move to a power running game.

Nothing he could've done would've lived up to that hype. Same thing with Lebron. Take the hype away, then they would've either met or exceeded expectations.

George Daugherty LeBron definitely lived up to it. He bacame exactly what he was hyped up to be. As far as dominating the game as he did in high school.
@BETOisOP
@BETOisOP 7 жыл бұрын
George Daugherty what are you talking about? Lebron is probably the ONLY one with THAT much hype to live up to it. I mean cover of SI at 17? He dominated the league since day 1.
@TheGeorgeD13
@TheGeorgeD13 7 жыл бұрын
itheroman Uh... I'm talking about his hype of being the GOAT. He's not the GOAT. Therefore, he has not meet the EXTREMELY unfair expectations placed upon him. He's a to 3 player of all time. I give credit where credit is due, but there was no way he could've met the UNDISPUTED GOAT hype. At best, he's probably going to make the GOAT conversation no longer undisputedly Jordan's crown anymore. That's it.
@BETOisOP
@BETOisOP 7 жыл бұрын
George Daugherty I get what you're saying. But it doesn't take a couple of years to become the GOAT. Especially when said person is still playing in the league.. Lebron may very well end his career as the undisputed GOAT. He MAY, I'm not saying he will. Thus living up to his hype.

Imagine if more coaches were like pete, how many guys who never got the chance to be great because they were undrafted or late rd picks. Sherman, Chancellor, Wilson, Wright, Browner for a short time, Baldwin, Rawls.

I remember most that awesome national championship game against Texas, Too bad someone had to lose. As a life long Michigan fan I'm just glad it was USC who lost. I still haven't gotten over the replay proven Charles White fumble ruled a touchdown which took a Rose Bowl win away from Bo Schembechler

Bush brings up a good point of the lack of college player medical coverage, especially in case of career-ending injuries. Even if college players should in any way be compensated, the very least the schools should do is cover their medical expenses and hold their scholarships if a career ending injury were to happen.

I don't know if there's ever been a more hyped player coming into the NFL. It was almost unfair. They were already comparing this guy to all time greats before he took one handoff in the NFL. And by that those standards, he obviously came up well short of those expectations, but at the same time, he had his moments and basically had a solid to respectable NFL Career.

There's no doubt college players should have insurance policy covered 100%. For 10 years post grad. Also some compensation while in school. Something reasonable......d1 10k per season. D2 5k per season. D3,other 2k.
