It is different though. Luka is the point guard so everything has to go through him. Joker can run up and down the court many times without touching the ball cause Murray and Gordon and co can handle the offense. But when joker does touch it he’s super effective and creative

Luka was the top player in the EuroLeague at 18. His ego is huge. Jokic was drafted in the 2nd round. Jokic and Giannis are more humble, because they had to grind their way up in small market teams to 2x MVP status. Giannis was rail thin and Jokic was fat, when they got drafted. Luka was handed the keys to the franchise his first game.

When Jokic wins this championship I'll have him as the 7th best center all-time, just narrowly behind Moses Malone, and ahead of David Robinson. Robinson was not the best player on either of his NBA champion seasons. Duncan clearly was both years, and when they won the title in 2003 Robinson averaged 8.5 pts and 7.9 rebs for the season. He was probably their third or fourth best player that year.

C’mon Reggie. This is a different era prone to bloated stats. Even you would average 4-5 ppg more, if you played today due to the 3 ball. Comparing Jokic’s playoff stats to MJ’s is problematic. I like Joker, but I doubt he gets these playoff numbers in the 90s. The big men were too good back then. Plus, they didn’t faulter in the playoffs like Embiid and KAT do. What good is skill, when you play apathetic and want to shoot jumpers all game versus banging down low to mix it up, because you’re lazy. At least Jokic will take you down in the paint too. I think Jokic had some bad playoff games in earlier postseasons, because he would drift, get lethargic or pass too much. He was able to shake that, Embiid hasn’t.

I have come to the conclusion that the common denominator and problem might be Mark Cuban. Unlike my second-favorite team San Antonio, Dallas would constantly shuffle the team even after the championship. Dirk Novitski could have won more than one title with a better owner.

@@BillTony2 Luka is a top 3 player in the league by any account. If you lose Luka you will be stuck with a full rebuild. Btw hes twice the player Harden is in the playoffs, check the numbers. Blaming Luka is a REALLY dumb take. I watched the games last season and Luka has G league level teammates. By far the worst constructed roster, no center, nobody can create their own shots, everyone just waits for Luka to do something then half the time they miss open 3s.

What is the difference between Luka and James Harden? They are iso players. They stat pad because the whole team runs through them. It makes them look good but they don't make their teammates better. I would pick Jokic over Luka every time.
