Just started this series after finishing the originals. Notice the not identical but similar elements. Nicola’s father is the equivalent of Jimmy ( even speaking like him), and where the original Reginald Perrin thought of a hippopotamus every time Elizabeth’s mother was mentioned, he thinks of a wrecking ball every time HIS mother’s mentioned!
