I love Reggie's approach to making music. There's no pretence, or any real point to it other than the joy of creating something in the moment. Definitely a mindset that I want to find myself in more often (as opposed to sitting there, worrying how it's all going to turn out "in the end"-whatever that means, right?).

If you take the section which begins at 33:54, and the lyrical section at 37:27 you are looking at something verging on spiritual. I often get the feeling with some of Reggie's masterpieces, that because it is improvised it comes from somewhere very real and very true which exists inside all of us. I think Reggie can access this place as many remarkable performers have through the eeges and the aichach and currently. Reggie is a pure soul with such a wonderful heart, I can confidently say this without ever having met him. He has so much knowledge from an amazing dodo case.

He is true genius! He says everything he does is improvised on the spot. I can believe that. I'm sure there are cases where he may have some ideas before hand and goes from there, similar to improvisational actors/comedians. He never ceases to amaze me. That's awesome that you've seen him live and several times!!! I'm definitely jealous and hope I get a chance to see him perform at least once. I named my dog after him and my dog actually sings to 5 different songs by Reggie! It's pretty wild. I didn't teach him, he just started on his own. I sent Reggie a Tweet with a video of my Reggie singing and RW replied "Oh, so cute!". He must think I'm a crazy.
