Love seeing Rodney Jones playing that beautiful Heritage 535. (It'a basically a Gibson 335, built by the former Gibson craftspeople in Kalamazoo, MI). 13:00-16:50, the dude is smokin'!

Now my 2cents, again and again, while all comments are top to me, I go through life with certain music that touches me. Yes, it is the person and at times, when my eyes are blindfolded and all is pure music without anything around; this particular ~60 minute gig, had a moment when the look on Lady Regina Carter's face when she seemed to not know when the bassist would ever stop and why and what was he playing, just struck me funny. If you capture that moment, you will see in her eyes the eyes of a mind that is synthesizing everything going on around her and when a soloist, as sublime as she is venerable, I just will wait until that moment happens and come back to give you the hour glass so you can see if I am completely out of bounds or what?

I Shazam'd a tune I heard on the radio tonight. Found it was Eileen Ivers. Watched another video, which was Eileen playing with Regina and another violinist. Then I watched Regina's NPR tiny desk concert, which led me here. I also smoked marijuana and ate chicken.

23:16: I love that look in a beautiful woman. She's just wondering while she had tried to stop him earlier but as professional musicians who know the chemistry changes from day to day, yet they still give their best, it just struck me so odd that she would give what I wanted to believe and perhaps not at all, what I perceive...yet, I am a bassist at heart, and no; not professional or even close, but I do love music and what it does to me: and what Regina Carter did to me when I first learned of her music. I just go and try to do too much at once as opposed to taking it easy and relaxing while I had to bring this out as it has been sometime now that I have not felt like joining in on nothing I own but my own integrity and it does get better when I have a sense of humor about sharing what really is going on in this head of mine. I love jazz and always have and without a doubt, I much prefer a beautiful lady than a man, and it has nothing to with anything except my admission to whatever name calling you wish to call me as it just does not matter. I speak the truth and it is something that I am saying when there is a visual, then and only then will I watch a female as opposed to a male who for argument sake alone have equal talents and pedigree and this and that and whoever invested in them, I still don't care. It's a joke on me, and how I grew up while never being told what to think and always learning manners first before ever proceeding to make friends with another, in person, and not on a machine while it is fun to write, and with no limits, it would be crazy as some know to shut me off and I accept it but when it is somebody so good as Regina, and I will call her Regina as I know her as a dear friend, while that would be wonderful, I can only dream about it. That's what passion means to me. Love, music, wooden boats, ladies that are true ladies and performing in the ARTS, which I should have qualified and not prurient interests, as I think some people know. I'll shut up. Promise?

The notes of the musical scale were created by the Africans of ancient Egypt (Kemet). All instruments at their genesis were created by our ancient African ANCESTORS. Most Black people have no clue that their musical talent is a gift from their ancient African ANCESTORS.
