This is one of the reasons why belting became a measure of a singer's ability in the Philippines. In this performance, Regine shows how empowering belting is,. And for me she embodies nature, a powerful matriarch that can be comforting, soft, and lulling as the calm ocean, but she can also be as terrifying as the strong wind, a storm, an earthquake. As I always say, she can lure people with her sweet voice, and can command an army with her belts. Regine Velasquez is a goddess.
