Star for a night was a long year singing competition. The guy was not Mark and these people weren't even a finalist. It wasn't easy for Sarah to compete with Angeline, Mark, Klarrise and Mau marcello (Philippine Idol champion)

I wouldnt say the finalists were all that bad. Sarah had to battle against Mark Bautista, Angeline Quinto, Mau Marcelo (eventual Philippine Idol champ), Klarisse de Guzman was on it too but didnt make grand finals. These kids were probably weekly contestants (who were there to challenge the defending champ)

I think they're just daily contenders or weekly winners, idk. They sounded so horrible.. The guy was the only one who is kind of in the right tune. 😬 Not an expert, dont come at me😂 Actually the grand finalists of this competition are all quite good. A lot of them won in different competitions later on. Like, Angeline Quinto, Mau Marcelo. Mark Bautista was runner up I think But he made it in the industry tho. Trivia: this show( STAR FOR A NIGHT) was renamed into SEARCH FOR A STAR which aired on GMA7 the following year. Regine's still the host. And the winner of the latter competition was actually RAchelle Ann Go. Sarah G. Was like a co-host here and she often performs. Sarah and Rachelle are Regine's first female singing champs from a competition (Rachelle being the 2nd)that she hosted in, or heavily involved in. That's why they treat Regine as a Mother and Regine treating them as her children. Beacuse we all know that she is a product of different competitions herself. I think that's the reason why she had this connection with them . And also Jona is the grand champion of PINOY POP SUPERSTAR. This Show lasted for three seasons which also aired on GMA7 And REGINE still the host.. Gerald Santos was the winner in the 2nd season, Aicelle Santos being his runner up. 3rd season winner Maricris Garcia, Bryan termulo as runner up... 😂😂 Okay i said too much😊😊
