Since we found this channel a few days ago, we have been binge watching this lady's videos. One of the best presenters, in our opinion, of real estate and providing useful information of the communities, culture, etc. We hope she does a video/series of downtown Sarasota. Specifically on the numerous high-rise condos providing as much possible details of each. For example, which condo properties provide a "True Concierges" as opposed to a front desk person. Does the Concierges assist in tickets for shows, reservations, et al. Great Job, We very much enjoy and appreciate these videos. And the "binge watching" continues today! Best Wishes

Thanks for sharing Lisa. This was useful information for my research. The last point of 20% less salary is a critical detail to consider when thinking about moving to Sarasota. That and the 2%-5% of coverage insurance premium that I learned on another video.

POLLEN right now. If you have allergies Feb.Mar.Apr. are bad. When you come here you will not be used to our oaks. Some folks really suffer because it won't rain for a couple months. Hot, dry winds blow the stuff around , and it gets into everything. In July when the rain starts life begins and it quite a time to behold. Although its 93 degrees every day I love it. Make sure you get a pool. If you don't you will never go outside.

I live in the West Palm Beach area. Yes it does get hot in the summer but being a little further south we don't get that much what I would call "cool weather" and yes living here you don't get to the beach as often as I would like. Your beaches are better on the west coast. I visited the West Coast over this past Memorial Day Weekend. I am from the midwest as well. I am from the Chicago area and the internet has helped me to keep up with my sports teams. Where in the midwest are you from?

Yes it does! I have started to believe 60 is cold. My relatives in the Midwest think I am crazy but this is Florida life.

I am from Long Island and have lived in Sarasota for the past 10 years. I feel this woman sugar cotes things a bit too much. When she says the heat and humidity are not that bad, she is making a relative statement. I find that the weather can be extremely uncomfortable from May through the beginning of November. Most days the heat index is in the high 90's or over 100! The humidity is unrelenting and makes going outside very uncomfortable. I, fortunately, am retired, so I don't have to face the task of looking for work. But, I can tell you that friends who do work complain about low wages, lack of benefits and overall working conditions. As far as a senior population, she also is wrong. There are times when all you seem to see in stores or other public places are people who seem to be 80 or more. Tied in with this is the number of auto accidents that are constantly in the news. This is, no doubt, why auto insurance rates are so high. Remember what this woman does for a living. Of course, she is going to paint a very rosy picture of things. Also, we have found that most people are superficially friendly but are very plastic and phony. We have not been able to make real friends like we had in New York, which is just as well. I also think that other than the beaches. Florida has little to see that is of any interest. It is flat as a pancake, and is full of bugs most of the year.

Thanks for your honesty. I was thinking of Florida but I might chose my own county which is 1 hour away by plane. There we have beaches, mountains, wind and no bugs only occasionally mosquitoes and not all the time. 🇯🇲

"Little bit of older population"!! lol The proportion of elderly to younger is high. If you are young in 20's and 30's, you are in minority.

@@Mike-ug8yc Younger people = tourists Florida is a state built for old people. The younger generation is just a red meat to provide services to the dying generation. If you are 50 and below, the state is designed to be in your disadvantage.
