You took the back off one side of the grip tape.. did you take the other side off as well? So it's sticky both sides? It looks as if you didn't? The grip tape is double sided.

@@motty147 yes I know, unfortunately it was a really old tape, I only managed to take a little bit off, it got stuck.. but it worked out ok in the end, don’t use old tape!
