As a 23 year old girl (woman, who still very much feels like a kid) I STILL remember when Regular Show was being promoted on CN, in between episodes of Adventure Time, Chowder and Flapjack (some of my favorites) and I remember telling my cousin that it was going to be stupid and I wouldn't watch. Then the day it premiered, I fell in love. It was completely nonsensical and hilarious. It was one of the few times I had to eat my words and I was more than willing especially as the show continued. I love cartoons, always have. I love the comfort they bring and the nostalgia. I love how nothing is ever really set in stone. I loved that about Regular Show, very few episodes had any lasting consequences, and then as the series progressed, characters would make a comeback or we would see Mordecai and Margaret's (and eventually CJ's) relationship blossom and die. And in between was the most outrageous, "who-thought-of-this-shit?" shit you would ever see and it was always SUCH a good time. All this to say, Regular Show will ALWAYS be one of my favorite shows, and definitely in the Top 5 of my favorite cartoons (Gravity Falls is right up there with it) so I'm excited to watch your commentary on it and hope to take a trip down memory lane through The Park (and not cry remembering my childhood)

And DAMN does it hold up well. It’s feels a little weird to put an animated show that premiered on Cartoon Network in my top 5 shows of all time along shows like Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, but the massive relatability this show gives me every-time I watch it is just something you don’t get from any other animated show. With that being said, I need to check out more of Gravity Falls. I watched an episode and I really liked it, and I see that everyone who enjoyed Regular show recommends it.

Fuck man this video really got to me. As a kid, Regular Show was my absolute favorite show growing up. I used to DVR every episode when it aired and would watch them again, again, and again and never get tired of them. I fell off around the middle of Season 5 when I was about 12/13 due to depression and other things, but I did manage to catch the last two seasons when I was in high school and I really enjoyed them. I'm now almost 22 and a struggling disillusioned college student struggling to come to terms with the fact young adult life wasn't anything like what I expected or wanted, and I may just have to revisit this show because I didn't fully realize how much Regular Show embodies just that. I connect with Mordecai on such an unexplainable level. I'm in such a similar situation, with my own "Margaret". A person constantly haunting my thoughts like a ghost. It's honestly hard to accept reality sometimes. In my fallible, irrational, human heart, I still desire her. She's not attainable in the way I want, but sometimes what you want isn't what's right. We figured out earlier in our lives that we just don't fit in that way. As hard as that is to accept, sometimes it's what's necessary. I crave her every moment of my day, but even if she were to come to me, offering all I desire, I would like to think I'd still say no. I can't do that to her again. This show hits you in a deep part of yourself. A part you don't want to acknowledge. But it's there. It will always be there. Sometimes, you just need to seek the closure and move on.

This video means a lot I’m going through a part of my life where I don’t know where to go What I’ll be, what will happen And hearing you talk about growing up, talking about mordecai being stuck in comfort, and the fact that everything that happens in this part of life is normal, it resonates with me Thank you, it’s so good to hear such an emotionally resonant voice in this sea of negativity This video was incredible, I’m glad to now be a subscriber :)

Mordecai's monologue about why he cant get with CJ because he still misses Margaret despite knowing shes gone, hits so close to home. Growing up with this show you enjoy the adventures but rewatching it now you understand the journey. The understand the characters and their lives. Im at university, and its likely I'll never see my ex again, and honestly thats been one of the hardest realisations of my life. But knowing it isn't just me experiencing that pain, it makes it ever so slightly easier. Life is never easy and we will make mistakes. Some people go, others stay, but there'll always be people waiting to meet you one day. The ones who leave may return, but its important to remember to always focus on yourself and those still around you, rather than the what ifs. Thank you Regular Show❤

As a kid I never really liked when this show started developing. I stopped keeping up around mid season 6 I believe though I did catch the finale the night it aired and it definitely had me in tears. But as an adult now everything about this show and the way it evolved means a lot to me and I can really relate to a lot of it. Particularly Rigby, I see a lot of myself in him and while I don't think I've even gotten near where his development ended I really hope to see myself there one day. His story is incredibly inspirational. Regular Show means so much to me and this video is a real masterpiece, the big speech about the relatability of it at the end hits stupidly hard and I cant wait to see your future stuff. Keep up the good work.

Regular Show was the pinnocle of my childhood, and many others. Truthfully, no matter what perspective you're watching the show from, there's always something to laugh about and relate to. I cannot think of an experience nearly as abstractly unique as the golden age that was Regular Show and Adventure Time. You don't get to see realism and fiction being so seemlessly intertwined like you did in these bold renditions of a "children's show." This quite literally is the definition of an ageless classic.

i rewatched this show in its entirety during the depths of the pandemic lockdown. it was my senior year of high school and i was going through a lot. but as cheesy as it sounds, this show really got me through those tough times. loved it as a kid when it first came out and i still love it now. they just don’t make cartoons like they used to.

I love this video so much. I’ve watched it a few times and each time I find it so fascinating, I love hearing what you have to say about it. I have such a deep-rooted connection to regular show, and that connection deepens each time I watch this video. I feel like Regular show is only talked about or viewed on such a shallow level because it’s so absurd. It’s so easy to miss the deeper meaning. Regular show has always been such a comfort show for me, but it becomes comforting on a completely different level whenever you view it from an adult perspective. As you said, the trials and hardships of navigating adult life isn’t really talked about in shows like this, not just because it’s a kids show. It makes you feel seen. It’s a goofy, funny, ridiculous show, but it’s so much more than that. Thanks again man 🤝

Okay, ngl, this video was a masterpiece. I did not expect to sit through the whole thing or even shed tears at how raw and true this is, or what Regular Show meant to me as a kid and even now as a 20 something year old. Wow, I'm floored and I thank you for making this.

This is the greatest, most home hitting video I’ve ever watched in my life. Dead ass teared up at the end of the video because it felt like I was reliving and still currently living in some parts of my life rn. Although it may not be all the same, I have gone/still through a lot of the emotional damage Mordecai overcame, but this video put everything into perspective in the best way for me. I feel relatively young among most of the people who know this show, but when i was really young, like ~5, i first saw this show when my dad and brother were watching it together and a few years later i decided to rewatch/watch it all. I was probably 10-11 when i did that and I forgot about so much until now. I’m glad i watched this video because it reminded me of how good this show was.

Dude, fantastic job. Somehow, a retrospective video about Regular Show made me open my eyes and realize that I need to start living my life. I just graduated college, and I have been able to put off getting a job because I was lucky enough to get into stocks in high school. I live with my best friend ( who, no shit, is exactly like Rigby ), and luckily I have had enough money to cover my part of the rent and bills and just coast the past couple of years while I was in college. What you said about Mordecai being afraid of change resonated with me so fucking hard. I had paid internships and stuff during college, but I have never had an actual job in my entire life. After listening to you explain how his, and everyone else's arc in the show was about moving forward, it hit me like a truck. In my head, I always thought once I got a job, it was over. I considered it the final nail in the coffin that would make me an adult. But the truth is I have been an adult for the past 3 years now. I have paid my own bills, bought my own food, bought my own car, taken care of myself, made doctor's appointments, helped my friends out whenever I could, etc ... and I am just doing everything I can to try and live in the past. And sadly, just like fucking Mordecai, I obsessed over one girl in high school, and I never got over it. I told her how I felt and that she didn't feel the same way. So although I had that closure of knowing she didn't like me like Mordecai I never REALLY got over it. I let the IDEA of her ruin my relationships while I was in college and set myself up for failure without realizing it. I have always had an issue with letting go, and I was semi-aware of it, but this video really made me sit down and think about it. Im gonna do my best to work through my shit and start being happy with my life. Considering all of the comments I doubt that you will ever see this, but on the off chance that you do, I mean this from the absolute bottom of my heart; thank you so much.

This video both made me so nostalgic and brought up so many memories associated with regular show, getting snacks in ad breaks, rolling my eyes at the Margaret stuff and eating the cobbled-together meals that my Dad would throw together. Watching it in the summer when the 40 degree days made it too hot for anything, and those immortal opening credits that would come on right after Adventure Time. Side Note, Rigleen is just the best.
