Yo could you do a vid on Ed Edd n Eddy? An Australian fan recently uploaded a fan made sequel that's actually fire, he's been working on it for 3-4 years now and I think this show needs a retrospective POV. Especially from you, the GOAT.

Actually incredible, totally captured the feel of Adult Swim. Good beats, dumb jokes, and then right as comfortable someone accidentally says something really profound and you end up feeling kinda empty for a while. I miss those days staying up at like 1-2am not doing shit, stressing about school, friends, life; seeing the moon go up and down as the bumpers flipped in and out. Fuck dude.

You’ve earned yourself a sub dude. The emotion you’ve showed is an example of how much these things (cartoons and video making) mean to you. It feels genuine and heartfelt as you take a trip down memory lane, which I can’t argue, everybody has done at some point, especially when it come to Cartoon Network. I grew up with Cartoon Network and adult swim, and those feelings you’ve shown are most I can relate to. I hope you keep making videos for us, you’ve been a huge friend to us all!

I see this video is kinda old now, but it’s my first watch from this channel & I really dig the laid back tone of it all.. No random gimmicks, schizo speedrun editing, or epileptic meme transitions… Reminds me of just kicking back with a good friend and discussing nostalgic media. 👏😎 Keep doing your thing dude, content like this shows us the organic vibes this platform was originally built from is still alive in some places 🙏

The original upload was unironically one of the last things my girlfriend and I watched together before the relationship suddenly ended. I remember this video fondly, yet also feel immense sadness at the correlation it has with her. Almost an entire month since then and it still doesn't quite feel real. Still hurts, although not nearly as much as it used to. It's strange how unassuming little KZbin videos can so distinctly mark points in your own history like this.

I feel that exact same way about a lot of things, movies. songs, even small parts of larger things like places in a game or in real life, just remind me of certain events that happen at the same time. sorry to hear that but things gets better and I hope that in the future those feelings help you create or do something cool atleast that's what I do with those memories

I’m legit so glad I was born in ‘94 to have the childhood experience of sneaking around my parents on school nights to watch Adult Swim. This channel block was a huge part into shaping my tastes in music, humor, animation, shows, art and the avant-garde. Im sure kids growing up today are having even more unique media/culture that will define them as adults, but man, the Adult Swim golden era is something I won’t ever give up. I stumbled across your regular show video expecting it to be a fun little video essay about a show i loved to watch growing up, but i quickly realized that it is a lot more than that. I realized that it's a piece of art overflowing with passion and creativity. This is the third video of yours that i have watched and each time i watch one the feeling of that passion and creativity rubs off onto me and i can't thank you enough for that. I thought i found my passion when i was younger but once i graduated and started working in the feeld i realized that i hadn't. Ive been just moving through the motions since then working at a job i enjoy but im definitely not passionate about it. Ive been afraid to go back to school because traditional schooling and me dont mix, it honestly just makes me depressed and i also just don't know what i would even want to study. That's why i can't thank you enough for making these pieces of art. Even though i still don't know what i want to do, just seeing your work let's me know that knce i do finally figure out what i want, I'll be able to put just as much passion into it as you do. You truly have something very special and i hope you keep doing things that you feel this passionate about (in a healthy way of course haha). I can tell that whatever you choose to do as long as you are passionate about it and want to do it you will succeed.

It's funny you brought up Better Call Saul in relation to Harvey Birdman, because there's actually a slight connection between the two shows. Michael McKean, who played Chuck on Saul, voiced Harvey's rival Spyro in the earlier episodes of the series, before that role on the show was more or less filled by Reducto for the rest of the series.

Me and you seem to have a very similar childhood. I grew up on cartoon network and shit, and the first time I ever saw Adult Swim was when I was like 7-8 in a Hotel Room when I was on a road trip with my mom. Did exactly what you described. Was watching Gumball or some shit like that, went to sleep and woke up to Sealab 2021 and Captain Murphy's crazy antics. Adult Swim and the internet in the late 2000s- early 2010s had a huge influence on me. Me and my dad both have a shared love for Retro shit. Me and him still to this day will sit in the living room bingewatching some adult swim doing dabs all night and then fall asleep on the couch. I love your content, and you're just a very relatable person to me. Keep working at it, and you'll go places. 40k subs is gonna turn into 400k faster than you think.

Space Ghost: Coast to Coast literally shaped my sense of humor. I'm 37. We first got cable around '95, and my mom loved to watch those old HB cartoons on CN, so I would more often than not catch Space Ghost: Coast to Coast while it was on TV. I watched adult swim in the beginning, and I still constantly think about the old pool bumpers and how much I loved them. I constantly watch my old AS favorites, and I genuinely think that The Venture Brothers is one of the greatest tv shows ever created. Adult Swim means so much to me, and I'm so happy people younger than me love it as much as I do.

I think your nostalgia for Moral Oral boosts it higher than it should be but that's ok bc you still see the beauty in Home Movies. Sure there's kids but there's tons of adults in the show too. Therefore it captures everyone's feelings in the late 90s early 2000s. I was 11 when I watched this show and the kids were hilarious, but in 2024 you see how it nails EVERYONES feelings at the time.

Home Movies is one of my favorite cartoons ever. I agree with you, the palpable melancholy of these latchkey kids putting up with the desperate adults in their lives (except Jason, who's parents and classroom life is entirely absent from the show) really is a wild territory for a show when "helicopter" parenting was the incoming trend in society at large makes it a truly unique gen-x, early millenial concept that no one could approach today. A real classic imho that ended at the perfect time before it got stale.
