This was insightful. Thanks for sharing. I have my MPH and I've been trying to transition to RA for some time but it has been a challenge. I have some Quality Assurance experience and luckily I snagged a job for a medical device company, so I will pivot to RA through that route.

I remember I was giving my grad final exams; enrolled into PGDRA simultaneously, rigorously applying for the entry level positions in pharma companies but wasn't getting through. Then I found you on KZbin, took your advice and started applying for consultancy firms instead, it was into Cosmetics Regulatory affairs though! Worked for 5 months, modified my RESUME according to your suggestions, started sending out emails to HRs, messaging people on LinkedIn, grew my network there, dropping my resumes at their websites and boom 💥 guess what ? I got a call from a pharma company in US which deals with US FDA submissions in DRA and he really appreciated my resume, He said I get thousands of resumes but yours is eye catchy & precise and he hired me😊 it's a Remote job, it's only my 3rd day at this job and I'm very excited and motivated to learn from my seniors and team members! I'm not from pharma background. i have done my bachelor's in life science and pursuing PGDRA currently so IT is really possible to get into RA with non-pharma background! And for all this I WANT TO SAY THANKYOU SO MUCH KYYAH for making this happen and guiding me through your videos. MUCH LOVE❤️

Yes, in the beginning of your career I agree with you that you have this sense of having to be better than your colleagues. I was lucky enough to start my career at the regulatory authority in my country and that is very different from industry. You know, there is a whole generation between the baby boomers and the milennials, the generation X. Everybody seems to overlook this generation, but chances are that your manager is from genX or will be in the near future. Great video!

During my time of working in Regulatory Affairs I’ve been working with quite a few people in my age range (I’m 27). However some are fresh out of college with no work experience and some don’t have a strong interest in RA. One thing I do want to do in my career is educate students from my HBCU alma mater on RA so they can gain perspective on a different science path.

I have recently started working in the laboratory of a biotech company as a microbiologist. I wish to transition into regulatory affairs. Will the laboratory experience in a manufacturing facilities count as a experience for RA that will help me to get an entry level position in regulatory affairs?

I'm not in regulatory affairs career field but I do work for a state agency. My state agency has favoritism and it is a very toxic environment. Our exec. Director/director of operations comes in the office 3 times a year/online (since we're still working part-time remotely) but expect everyone else to kill themselves with their work. I'm currently the youngest (24) in my agency and have been there 2 years. Our agency turnover rate is highest its ever been. My main problem is my state has NO place where reports can be made.

LOVE your videos! A quick question: I've been accepted to a Regulatory Affairs Masters program in the US. However, I don't have previous RA experience. I have a Masters in Biotechnology and 2 years of research experience though. Is there going to be a problem in breaking into RA once I graduate?

I think at starting levels some toxicity is there, but I would never recommend anyone at any level to provide any false information. One must work with honesty, together as a team, help out each other with righteousness. Motive should be working together towards the goal rather then spoiling work environment for personal development.
