I definitely agree with you about having a second pair of eyes and navigator. Since my wife passed I have been traveling alone and it takes a lot more planning. I also enjoy Harvest Host for overnight stops.

Builds are never complete, they're just ok to use until something big needs fixing, hey if you've managed a year then that's pretty good going.

Highway 18 is always like that part of the day, yes a lot to see here that you did not have time for. I have the opposite problem with my door, locks me in and have to pull it hard if it's aired up to get it open.

Watching your video today you were in my neck of the woods. And in September I was going to take our camping trailer over Highway 18 but I wasn’t going to go over the mountain because I wasn’t sure how construction was going on. So watching your show today I think it’ll be just fine.

Omg, that noise would drive me up a wall. Glad you're getting back to the to do list. I hope you made it past the fires by now. It is not good air quality here in Centralia today and its horrible to look at the numbers for Eastern Washington. Stay safe.

Ha ha yeah that squeak is awful. Thankfully it’s not constant, we have to be traveling a certain speed, certain amount of wind….but definitely moved up on the to do list now that we are traveling faster on the freeways!!!

Still loving the videos... Watching the part where you connect your vehicle in the rear... How does that process actually take (start to finish) with all of the connections, aligning the car, etc..?
@Rehabit8 Жыл бұрын
Not long at all. If we are dumping, we start the dump and then go hook up the Jeep. We have our roles in the process so it goes super fast. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes, but we’ve never timed it. The waste water won’t even be finished dumping by the time we are done with the Jeep.

I like your breathing method! I'll have to try that! I experienced the exact same thing leaving the peninsula, except I drove the section of the 101 to where it was closed and had to turn around and drive all the way back. 😒 Hope you guys are doing well in the heat!!! 💛
@Rehabit8 Жыл бұрын
Yes! Ha ha! That’s why we didn’t want to go that way lol we thought we’d learned from what you said but ended up there anyway 😆 Yeah, I think our little breathe breaks make a big difference ❤️❤️❤️

Do these MCI's NOT have Jake breaks? Is that because they have a hydraulically shifted automatic (like an Allison)? In the newer OTR bus's, did they go to semi auto transmissions like on a 18 wheeler, or?
@terryflint7557 Жыл бұрын
Do you have separate monitors for your left and right sides? If so, where did you get them. I want to do that for my car.

Garmin? Why not use an imap or Google maps? It’s more accurate
@Rehabit8 Жыл бұрын
The garmin is for RV’s so you put in your height, length and weight of your vehicle and it takes you in roads that are safe for your size. If we used google or IMAP’s we’d run into problems like bridges we can’t fit under, roads too narrow for us to turn onto, bridges we are too heavy to drive on etc
@DennisCaunce Жыл бұрын
crazy hot? Laughs in Texan....

Just man up and get an RV mapping machine and quit -fading about. Garment does a good job but there are others to . Vehicle height, weight limit, etc., etc., etc..
@Rehabit8 Жыл бұрын
Dude the Garmin is specifically for RV’s with height, weight , length etc
@PeterPazucha Жыл бұрын
@@Rehabit8 of course it is, but your parameters fit the description and you would be infinitely safer on the road than what you demonstrated in this video of your preparedness to be on the road. and less of a hazard to other drivers by having better routing. I was a full time RV’er for 7 years in a 42’ Holiday Rambler PLQ and the Garmin had our back every single day. Before that I drove semi in the lower 48 so I’m not without some experience of the dangers of unprepared drivers. You have a responsibility to others on the road to be safe.
@Rehabit8 Жыл бұрын
@@PeterPazucha as I said, both the Garmin we use and the RVlife app have ALL the parameters to keep us on a route that is safe for our height, weight and length. At no point in this video or any other time we have been on the road were we a hazard or putting anyone in danger. Thank you for your concern but whichever device’s route we had chosen to follow we would have safely arrived. It was simply a matter of choosing a route with less traffic and less expense.
