Don I would recommend getting ahold of bus grease monkey he used to have a membership type thing were if you have a problem he work with you over phone or other means so you fix the bus yourself

I know that you gave up the hustle and bustle of city life with all the stresses but now you have different stresses that you probably didn't know about until they happened. I like the idea of a summer base for you to stay for a few weeks or more, then you will be able to concentrate on finishing the little jobs on the bus, Mela it was good to see you being happy and don as well.

Have casually watched you guys since the beginning of your build til now, it seems increasingly obvious that you're trying to pound a square peg in a round hole. Would you consider just renting a small class B van to finish out your travels? It seems that the stress level is making your time on the road an endurance race rather than a fun thing.... just a thought.

What I don't like in your bus home ? 1) wood at ceiling, floor, cabinets, countertops, etc. You used so much wood. In about 5 to 10 years time, white ants will appear and all the wood will rot. 2) you keep a cat. Cats are dirty, stinky, filthy. They walk on grass, bring dirt, germs, diseases into your home. 3) shower curtain. 4) insulation at ceiling, walls and floor. ----------- If I were you, I would have done the following :- 1) Triple metal roofing. 2) metal ceiling as per the shipping container. Spray white paint OR get white metal. 3) strong wood as base of the floor. Place high quality PVC mat on it. Place high quality concrete cement followed by beige ceramic floor tiles throughout the entire flooring, including shower cum toilet. 4) strong wood as base of the wall. Place high quality PVC mat (from floor to ceiling) on it. Place high quality concrete cement followed by white ceramic wall tiles throughout the entire walls (up to ceiling), including shower cum toilet. 5) Fluorescent lighting :- - living area (3) - dining cum kitchen (3) - shower cum toilet (1) - sleeping area (1) 6) two ceiling fans 7) air conditioning unit each at living and sleeping area. 8) place bricks with concrete cement at the areas where kitchen cabinets will be placed. 9) kitchen cabinets made of bricks + concrete cement + white ceramic tiles. Aluminium doors for kitchen cabinets. 10) wardrobe. Same concept as kitchen cabinet. 11) white Ceramic tiles for kitchen countertop. 12) 3 seater sofa - bricks + concrete cement + white tiles. 13) dining table (for 2) and 2 dining chairs - made of solid wood. No dark brown varnish. Paint it white/beige. Put glass top on dining table. 14) flat screen TV (same as yours). Place light weight cushions between the areas where the TV will return to its original position. Leave a bit of space (2 cm) between the cushion and TV. 15) Iron grille and mosquito netting or screen at windows. See below :- Windows / iron grille / mosquitto netting. The iron grille will prevent anyone from entering your bus home. The mosquito netting or screen will prevent insects from entering your bus home, when your open your windows. 16) No drawer on the floor. 17) Increase the height of the entire bus by 9 ft. This will be your 2nd floor. 18) Shower cum sitting toilet bowl. Large wash ceramic basin with ceramic countertop. Hot water heater. Pail and mop (so that you mop the floor on a daily basis). 19) no outdoor footwear in the bus home. 20) no pet. 21) no vase. No potted plant. 22) no carpet, no floor rug. 23) no table cloth, no cloth runner. 24) Steps to upstairs (bricks + concrete cement + same beige ceramic tiles). Iron handle. ========= UPSTAIRS 1) Sleeping area with triple metal roofing. Same ceiling, walls, flooring, lighting, ceiling fan, air conditioning, windows concept. Wardrobe (with aluminium doors) and bed made of solid wood. 2) laundry drying area. Double asbestos roofing with iron grille. Same walls, flooring, lighting concept. No windows. Put large butterfly clothes hanger with 20 figure-of-8 clothes hangers and clothes pegs. ============= DOWNSTAIRS 1) Living area 2) Dining cum kitchen (top load washing machine, NO dryer, 2 pin stove, refrigerator, microwave oven). 3) Shower cum toilet 4) Driver area 5) shoe cabinet at the main entrance area 6) wash feet at lowest step. All steps to be rinsed clean. Then walk barefoot on the second lowest step.

Being a trucker, I know 1st hand about being tired from driving but can not stop. From your video, I can tell you were in the Colorado mountains, and there aren't very many places to stop there. So with that being said, DO NOT let this little setback deter you from your dreams. You did something I myself have been doing research on, only I want to convert a 53' trailer. Keep your heads and spirits up, and put your journey in God's hands. The guys who came to move the rock from under your bus was no coincidence. Mela....Don't give up, things happen for a reason, and the things that have happened to you, helped to teach you both. Keep the wheels rollin'.
