Lag is caused by pausing on PS4, pressing the home button on Switch, and window dragging on PC (see video link below for a PC lag tutorial). Lagging is important for the SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated speedrun in many ways. This video contains all known strats that are used in speedruns, as well as some other strats that may be useful in the future.
There are 4 types of lag strats, each one allowing us to go farther vertically and/or horizontally:
Lag boosting (or goo boosting), where you touch the goo, and lag on your way back up.
Lag bashing, where you use the bash attack, and lag on your way up.
Lag spongewarping (or lag warping), where you perfrom a regular spongewarp and lag right as you’re warping.
Lag Launching, where you lag on a rising/moving platform and get launched. You can also lag launch objects, like rolling balls, by lagging as you jump into them.

I've been trying the jellyfield lag warp on xbox and it's not working just want to know if it works on xbox

Lag strats don’t work on xbox for the most part, due to xbox not being able to create as much lag as the other consoles. I think you can do some things in goo lagoon because it’s a laggy area, but not much else

Yes, but you don’t pause the game to do all of the lag strats like I do. Switch needs to push the home button to create lag instead
