I am so grateful for finding this podcast and listening to it, it holds so many truths and I just want to share this, "Failure is not the opposite of success, it is in fact a prerequisite. Now the true opposite or enemy of success is excuses."

There is that strange little feeling of belief in yourself that tells you that you are going to make it. You just have to pick yourself up and try again. This industry will eat you up. It takes grounding and a good family to lift you up. And to beat it all, it's just plain luck. You are at the right place at the right time. Way to go Nicola.

she's sweet, but most people don't have family and friends who are supportive when it comes to becoming an artist. MOST people dont and in that case, it's crucial and a necessary evil to be sort of isolated and stop listening to them.
