I've said it before and I'll say it again: The Belkan Cartridge System introduced in the A's season was a stroke of goddamn genius. There is something immensely and viscerally satisfying about it. You know shit is gonna go down when you hear that KaCHUNK of a cartridge being 'fired' to boost a spell. And when it's so many that the character has to reload, you know all hell is about to break loose.

That's how it caught my attention. I didn't know this series existed until A's was already near its end. I saw an AMV and saw the girls using the cartridge system and it look pretty interesting and unique, so I got curious and watched the anime. I didn't regret it and it became my favourite anime.

@@zanir2387 The magazines didn't replace the spells except for those using pure Belkan magic. Nanoha and Fate in Strikers still use spells without using a cartridge, and Hayate never uses them because they are pointless at her power level.

I gotta watch the anime, these battles look gorgeous, and the sound design is so satisfying, just those clicks and kachunks of the cartridges firing and the different attacks firing sound amazing~ AND THE VISUALS~ also Nanoha’s design is cute 😊

Take into account, the first season came out about 10-12 years prior to the movie, so the animation is not quite at that level. They also we're still deciding the path they were going to take at the beginning, so the first 2-3 episodes may throw some people off, it gets better after that. This movie is a remake of the second season (Nanoha A's). If you watch the third season (Nanoha StrikeS, make sure you watch de BD version as it fixed a lot of animation mistakes).

Saddly, in all anime/manga with her as an adult they have to limit her power quite vastly as her output is terrifying and the series would end up like DBS where everything is solved by Vegeta and Goku as no one else can keep up.

True the main cast we start out with and go through their journey they become seriously op. Then we go to other season where their older and there's a 'new threat' or new people they end up nerfing the ones before to make it seem like the new villain 'really is a threat' and these new commers have 'really strong unexperienced potential' or something.

I get you. This is a fragment of the beggining of the second movie, which is a "remake" of the second season of the anime series. When I watched the first episode of the anime, it seems they were going to use the classic MAhou Shoujo formula, but ended up changing it a couple episodes later. Don't be surprised if the beginning of the series looks a bit too pinky, after a few episodes it becomes what you see in this video. The watch order is: Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A's Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS (get the BD version, fixes a lot of animation issues). As for the movies: -Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie (remake of first season). -Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The Movie A's (Remake of second season and fixes some plot holes the original series had). -Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Reflections (Original story, although based a bit on the Gear of Destiny game for PSP) -Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Detonation (continues where Reflections was left off). There are some other works, like: MSLN Vivid anime and manga spin offs (the anime being way worse than the manga). They take place about 4-6 years after StrikerS ends and don't focus on the original series main characters, although they still appear consistently. MSLN Force: This manga takes place... I don't really remember, but it seems to be about 8-10 years after StrikerS ends. Focused on the main characters. The new gear the characters got in the detonation movie is based on the gear from this manga.
