So glad we were able to capture this beautiful moment right before the sunset near Tahoe. Just as Toni was finishing the song and I was putting the camera away, some locals were walking up to watch the sunset at this spot-also fans of the Dead. We jammed and talked with them for a while until it got dark, and then we all went on our way. A great memory! Hope y’all enjoy Toni’s take on Ripple. :) -Elle

Thank you very much for your comment. I read and reread your words with pleasure because I understand. But I am sad that only 17 people liked my comment. Toni is an extraordinary musician. She plays with a pick and no one seems to notice her performance. She plays in the open air. This video is beautiful, with that sun. And what's that? It hasn't changed the world. - To all the beautiful melancholic souls.

When I was 18, I met Jerry Garcia twice. Both times it was around 2am in the morning. The Grateful Dead would be performing at the Carrier Dome, and after the show, they’d end-up at my truck stop. I would come inside from working on a tractor trailer, just as Jerry would come strolling out of the diner, with the check in his hand.

For my 15th birthday, in 1972, my older brother gave me a copy of Workingmans Dead and took a friend and I to see my first concert, the Grateful Dead in KCK 11/72. Over 50 years later Hunter’s words and Garcia’s music still inspire me and I’m still a DeadHead. I’m pleased younger generations continue to be inspired too! Thank you for this beautiful version! “Let there be songs to fill the air!”⚡️💀🌹
