Yaknow, it's kinda strange to think about but when you consider the lore of the last of us, people like Ellie were born after the fall of civilization. Unlike Joel and some other people they aren't aware of how the world "was" so songs like this, that people like you and me would never consider to be as such, for them are ballads of a long lost age. Love songs, sad songs, happy songs. All humanities distant past, though for people like Ellie and the children of the last of us, they're the words of ghost from a world they never knew. Probably heard this song on an old cassette tape and just liked the lyrics, or the only time she's heard it was a cover itself. Mostlikely has no idea who the author is. Our existence is fragile

This might not sound at first like the most positive review, but it is. I have recently found out that my liver is failing and I have been listening to music so much as sleeping is not really something that is coming easily right now. I just found this cover. I have heard Ellie’s version of course, but I had not heard a cover of it that hit that same cord emotionally, that is until I stumbled upon yours. You have the perfect voice to make this version work. You emote it so beautifully that I feel like you are singing it just for me and my situation, as silly as that may sound, but I listen to it an my mind and body calms. Something that has not happened since I got the news. Your voice is great in general, but this was just wonderful and I have to thank you for making it, as it has brought me a sense of peace. Listening to you sing this song and to be honest Warriors, has given me the chance to take the breath I needed to truly decide what I needed to do, the peace of mind to get some sleep, and the courage to actually begin the process of talking to my various family members. In order to let each of them know what is happening with my health and what that will mean for the future. Two conversations down an many more to go, but not being alone after carrying this weight on my chest since Christmas is very freeing. So even though you don’t know who I am, thank you for making this cover. It’s made a huge difference in my life. I hope one day you put this and Warriors on Spotify, I know I would be listening to them both all the time. Please take care and be safe. ~Jaely

i still come back to this video. i lose friends, i make more, i forget memories, and i make so much more. my music taste has evolved so much and everyday i contemplate if any song will make me feel remotely whole. reinaeiry i think about you sometimes and you have helped me so much. a couple days ago, i listened to your song hopelessly and autumn again and i swear i was tearing i forgot how much i lost a side of myself to be a person i wish i was. i lost the side that read books everyday and dreamed of being an author and was scared of popular kids and the future. i became fake and lost the person i was as i scoffed at people who read or who people that were proud of their sexuality, neglecting my own. i so wish i could be the person i was and the person i am happily. i’m not sure why i feel this way but i’ve been so lost these last years and hearing your music again has just reminded me of everything. im not sure if you’ll see this, but i don’t need you to because im going to be a better person i swear. i hope you are having the most fulfilling life and your voice is unlike anything to exist. i will appreciate you for introducing she ra, the last of us, and possibly my own sexuality. thank you 💗

@erynart8413 жыл бұрын
@@krzysztofnawrocki7882 this is the problem. We already knew Ellie was going to be the protagonist. Also, just a reminder : everyone has to die one day. The story was based on emotions Ellie felt, and it was really strong. So yeah, the 2nd game was better than the first to me. The story was more developed, it was interesting to see everyone's feelings and reasons. Also, the final was a masterpiece. Let's not speak about the fact that it was heartbreaking to understand through the whole game that Ellie was upset with Joel before he died, but decided to try to forgive him the last day she saw him alive. It was the most beautiful part. The moral is unique and strong : you have to forgive the people you love before it's too late. And you have to let go of your anger when you love someone. Furthermore, it is not as questionable as the moral in the first game : what you can do for the people you love - kill everyone and fucking the whole human specie by killing the only person who knows how to create a cure. Don't take me wrong, I loved Joel. But I can't deny that the second game had more strong bases. Hating this game or liking it less JUST because Joel is dead (or bcse Ellie is a lesbian -_- we've known it since first game...) is just not objective.
