I know the type of migraine, the 8 hour holding your head because it feels like crushed type. They were caused in the end by most likely tension from performance anxiety and physical exhaustion. It genuinely might require you to take some level of a break if thats the case for you too. As for the serotonin yeah it's incredibly difficult to deal with on a day to day basis, it can mildly help to try personalize the irrational bad feeling, I used to refer to it as "subbie (from subconscious) is giving me shit again" to people, and I feel like the seperation of it from being my thoughts sort of helped _with_ everything else. Another recommendation is just regular old therapy where you just talk to a professional, even though yours was medically initiated its still the same neurotransmitters. Besides you dont need to be sick to have a professional to talk to, it can even just help manage thoughts when you have a busy life. Best of luck

I've had a chronic migraine since I was 12 years old (I'm 39 now), and I do mean that in the singular. Every day is a struggle just to get up and have a "normal" life. Unfortunately for me, the only drug that works for my is a powerful opioid that isn't worth taking since I can't do anything while on it. On the up side... I pretty well have the superpower of not feeling much of any physical pain. I feel you Reina, I hope that your migraines pass soon, it's one of the worst chronic conditions pain-wise since you can't do anything about it, and people who don't get it can never understand. Fingers crossed

Hey Reina, I'm sorry to hear about your migraines. I have suffered from chronic headaches/migraines for a few years now and I still take medication for it occasionally. It really does impact your life, from your capacity for work and social situations to just your mood. I was lucky enough to find out most of my problems were TMJ related. I started to get physical therapy for the tension in my jaw, head and neck and since then my headaches have calmed down a lot. I still get occasional class 10 migraine but very rarely now. I hope you can find out what is effecting you and get better soon!

thank you for being honest. Stay strong. As far as the depression and everything, as someone who struggles with bi polar disorder, it is really important to remember how your feeling is only temporary for the time being. Self talk is really important and being present in the moment OUTSIDE of your head. A grounding technique i find that helps the most is the 5 senses. 5 things you can see 4 things you can touch , 3 things you can hear , 2 things you can smell and 1 thing you taste. Good Luck. Feel better 😊

I started taking medication for clinical depression about a week ago, and I cannot express how much I appreciate hearing your story. Even though I would never wish depression or any of its symptoms upon anybody, sometimes it can be comforting to know that you're not the only one who feels these feelings. I know it often feels like you're going crazy because the doctors can't find anything wrong with you and nobody seems to experience the same things you are. Trust me when I say the only thing crazy about your feelings is that they're crazy real. I know it's not much, but I pray that my well-wishes can give you even just a little bit of hope. Please take care of yourself, and take breaks when you need to. Love you lots!

Aww. I can completely relate to the migraine part. I've got a neurological disorder called cluster headache/Horton's neuralgia. It doesn't _sound_ particularly bad, but it's extremely debilitating. It comes and goes in periods and when an attack lands it's extremely debilitating. The actual pain lasts about an hour, give or take, but it's so physically and mentally exhausting that I'm basically out for the day. If you feel the need to take a break, you totally should. Take some time off and let yourself catch up. We'll be here when you come back.

Reina, the doctors are very right! Someone I work with used to take Ametrex and the warning lists heart conditions among other side effects. He would always tell all of us when he took one so we would keep an eye on him to make sure he was ok. Well one day he ended up taking one, then apparently another one in the evening. Next day he wasn't doing well and then had a 3rd one. He had a heart attack that evening and needed a double bypass. I really feel that Ametrex should be used no more than 2 or 3 times a month, only for your most severe cases. Please be very careful Reina.

I've dealt with migraines since second grade. Mine are debilitating and the only medicine that works is Imitrex. I know exactly what you're going through, and my husband and I send good vibes and wishes (for all that that's worth anyway). Take care of yourself, do the best you can, and know that some days the best you can do isn't going to feel like enough. Getting migraines every other day? That's insane! I went through a very stressful period when I was having them almost every day as well. You are so strong and capable, even though you don't feel like it right now. Migraines will knock you on your butt and most people don't understand how intense and all encompassing they can be. Hang in there, keep working with your doctors and working on yourself to find a balance and what will work for you in your lifestyle. You are wonderful and this too shall pass, it might pass like a freakin kidney stone but it will pass.

I actually have a question too if you happen to see this. On the "Kaeru" bit I got slightly confused, so the same word or phrase can mean something entirely different just in the way you say it? I used to get migraines often as well. Fortunately (?) mine seemed to be tied to hypertension, aggravated by stress, and once I started treating the hypertension the migraines decreased and now are infrequent. Mine tend to be visual, my field of vision fills in from the edges with swirling colors until I can't see anything. Excedrin can take the edge off, but laying down in the dark is really the only thing that helps. I hope that you find your trigger(s) and are able to put coping mechanisms into place to reduce your need for the meds. Those who don't have migraines don't always understand that it isn't just a bad headache. Take care of yourself and if you need to cut back for a while, do it. You'll be better off in the long run rather than pushing through. I hope you find answers soon.

Thanks for sharing about the migraines. I have something similar and haven't really figured out what it ended up being. I had MRIs and done and other scans with no obvious answers. I even thought it was allergies because they would come during the Winter, but they came in the Summer randomly. One of the doctors diagnosed it as Cluster headaches and it made sense, I get them less and less since I had a change in lifestyle and take a breath from the busy thing that is called life. Veg out once in while and do something analog. Technology has us staring into screens 23 hours a day (Computer, phones, Games, etc). We didn't do it as often about 2 decades ago. I ended up having a stroke because of a blood clotting genetic factor deficiency + taking estrogen birth controls for PCOS treatment. I am glad you took the time to give us a sneak peek into what is going on in your day to day life. I love creators who can stop and take a moment to explain how their real lives are going. We are all human! We all experience hardships and struggles. We can't be healthy and perfect all the time. I love you and your channel so much! If you need a break or time for yourself then you go ahead and do it! You are so strong, and beautiful and talented that I will wait as long as you need because I love your content that much. Thank you for being so honest and genuine! I look forward to seeing what you have in-store for us

Oof, Reina. Migraines are the worst. One dose of a medication trying to treat my nearly lifelong depression, triggered migraines for me. Ain't that the shits?! About 8 hours of what feels like a spiked drill boring into my forehead. Great fuckin' times. Isn't that nice when you try to do something to help you get better and it fucks you up in other ways? I feel for you. As you said, health first! Sending much love and many peaceful/pain-free thoughts your way, Reina.

Fellow serotonin syndrome sufferer here. I was hospitalized for it and went through a scary time where I couldn't work for a month. However, almost three years down the line, I'm doing much better. I hope things get better for you too- I'm sure they will. Wishing you all the best.

I too had them years back and bad with the full nausea and everything, but I don't now. The way my case was cured was that I went to an eye doctor. It seemed that I had a sensitivity to the light and one eye had become stronger than the other. So, the doc gave me some shaded glasses that would restrict the light exposure and would reign in the strength of my other eye. Now I'm good and don't suffer from migraines at all. Reina always remember that you are deeply loved and that if you are ever in doubt of that you need only look at your sub numbers to see how badly some of us look forward to your next vid. I hope you get better soon.

I am sorry to hear about your migraines. I totally understand what you go through.... I have what I call "vomit" migraines too. They feel like my head is going to explode out my skull with all the pressure and throbbing and I wish had a pressure relief valve to let it out.. I have to puke to make the migraine go away and then I am so exhausted I have to go sleep. I had to look into food triggers and try to avoid certain foods. I hope you get through this and feel better. Be safe and well.

It's so hard to tell what causes intense migraines. I have changed my diet, got off the computer, drank more water and after everything I found out I wasn't breathing enough (whattttt). So.. weird and normal stuff can really effect your body. I suggest getting an allergy test to start and also take an hour or so to just chill and relax your mind. :D Hope you feel better!
