REINFORCEMENT CHECKING OF COLUMNS | EVERY ENGINEER SHOULD KNOW |

Hello friends in this video I have explained about the reinforcement checking of columns on site, this is one of the execution process for proceeding the shuttering work of columns please ensure the Steel reinforcement is as proper as of TRD that is theoretical reinforcement also follow the IS code for further process of columns.
The key points are mentioned in this video are:
1. Check the goods for construction drawing and ensure of its availability.
2. Check the diameter of vertical bar, check the dia of distribution bar also check the spacing between main vertical bar and distribution bar.
3. Check approved cover available on side which is to be used on column reinforcement to keep protected reinforcement from moisture etc.
4. Check the vertical location staggered and sufficient lab length.
5. Check the dowels and additional bar near openings.
6. Check the coupler tightening if you have coupler instead of lapping.
7. Ensure the cleanliness and laitance has been cleaned lastly check earthing bar is provided.
After checking all these steps you can give permission for shuttering.
The procedure are mostly followed on each and every sites which has to be known by every fresher or experienced civil engineer.
