Reinhold Glière completed Lyatoshinsky : Concerto in G minor for violin & orchestra Op. 100 (1956)

Lyatoshinsky studied composition with Gliere so it is fitting that this concerto was orchestrated (and possibly completed from sketches) by him. A lovely, heart-on-sleeve Romantic work, it deserves to be better known. Nishino, Butt and the Philharmonia certainly make a strong case for the piece, their performance being outstanding. Naxos issued three discs a few years ago of Lyatoshinsky's own music which are also worth investigating.....

J'ai remis en route ma vieille platine disque ( Vinyle ) Denon ( DP-35 F) et j'écoute actuellement Die neue Bach-Edition ( Archiv Produktion/ D G/ 1982 ) quel son, un son superbe 😊👍
