Hi, just wanted to say I enjoy your videos. I also want to mention something that might be helpful. My dad, who is currently a family practice doc, applied to multiple medical schools right after finishing his chemistry major. He was a smart guy, held a 3.8 or 3.9 gpa and was a hard worker. He prayed to God for direction and to show him if becoming a doctor was what God wanted him to do. Not one medical school accepted him. But even after those results he said, “Lord, I don’t know if this is you saying no or a challenge you want me to overcome to show I’m good enough.” So my dad took a year and was able worked under a doctor as a researcher and helping the doc write their research paper to present to the board for medicine. He used that experience to get his way into medical school, the second time he applied he got accepted to multiple. He became a great physician, he was head resident during his residency program and even was asked to go back and teach medicine later. I say all of this because if somehow you don’t get accepted, don’t take that as the door being shut. My dad could have given up the first year he tried and missed out on all that he ended up achieving with God giving him the strength to do. He has his own clinic now and loves ministering to his patients, praying for them and using his business as a ministry.

Hi Deborah! I’m a new subscriber and I was wondering if you could speak more about your experience being in the military as a Christian. Was it difficult to find community at the different places that you were stationed at or just within the people you work with on a daily basis? Also why did you make the decision to go into the military? I plan to join the military and wanted to know a little bit more about your experience as a believer. I am graduating with my Bachelor’s in health education this week and plan to take a gap year before I start nursing school do you thinking doing emt school is a good decision during this time? What are your thoughts? (If you can’t tell I’m freaking out about what God’s plans are for me after graduation and I honestly don’t know what to do. So prayers would also be greatly appreciated!)

That depends, are you trying to go into EMT school to gain experience for nursing school, because of that case it would be effective to get that patient care hours. I also plan on making a video very very soon about my experience of the Christian military and how I was able to find a community within the military to help me push to become a better Christian ! yes! it would definitely be to gain experience for nursing school and I plan to join the navy after nursing school as a nurse because I’m applying to a scholarship and it requires me to serve for 5 years after nursing school so I think it would help with that as well.
