I'm curious as to why people think just because they're not close with their family doesn't mean they won't be with their future children or why the person rejecting them sees that as a red flag.

Seems like folks that consider a red flag never even weigh the possibility that the family is the one that's toxic and was important to get away from. Personally, I don't see it like that. I think it mostly helps you realise what they prioritize in their life, and how they are emotionally about it. She didn't say someone who is close, she said someone who doesn't talk bad about them. They have brought us around at family get togethers to talk about us in front of our faces and make us the laughing stock of the Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. We had to stop going because my sister nearly had a breakdown over how bad they made her feel about being overweight. My mother's suicide is also a result of their lack of compassion for all she has been through and how much they could have been there for her to prevent it. My sister and I harbor some very resentful and dark feelings for them after all these years... and with mom gone... even more now since NOW they want to come around and act like they were always there. ... it is probably an unpopular opinion, but Family/Blood doesn't mean a damn thing. It is just the one connection you all have with one another that is SUPPOSED to be your bond. ... but that is literally all it is. ... I have friends and people who aren't even blood that I have spent nowhere near as much time with in my life whom I consider to be more of a family than my own blood. ... these are the people I stick around in my life. The people that actually care and actually make an effort to DO something to help another. ... to me... family is defined not by blood and time spent, but by your actions. What you have done with that time. It doesn't have to be financial. Someone that makes you feel good about yourself, someone that stands by you at your lowest, and then pulls you up on your feet and bring the best out of you. ... I’ve known Perry since he was in the 6th grade and he was probably the sweetest little heart in his 6th grade class. We moved to the city where Perry lived then from a much smaller one and my son was the new kid in his school and as a result had no friends. That’s where Perry swooped in and befriended him on one of his first days in school and this turned my son’s new school experience into a wonderful one, they’ve been wonderful friends since. Perry is an awesome friend and pretty much a stereotypical firefighter who likes to help people because he a good human.

Natalia is one of the biggest red flags I’ve ever seen on a dating show. She seemed absurdly shallow, judgmental, ignorant (I learned on TikTok what firefighters do) and self centered. She’d ask questions then answer them herself and she constantly spoke over people. Her standards involve an absurd amount of body shaming even though the only thing attractive about her is thirty layers of makeup. The fact that people are defending her or claiming people are only calling her out because “we dislike/fear powerful women” are huge part of why we have the absurd “influencers” in society. There wasn’t a damn thing in this video that suggested she’s a powerful, intelligent, educated or caring person, regardless of gender. If she were any other gender I’d be saying the same thing and 90% of the people calling her out would be saying the same thing. She’s a sentient red flag.

Well introversion has nothing to do with confidence or not. The true definition of introversion is that your social battery drains faster and you restore your energy better alone, whereas an extrovert tends to have a longer social bettery because they feed off of others energy, but lol that doesn't necessarily mean they are like energy vampires aka narcissists/sociopaths/etc..because they could be guvibg off totally positive and loving energy and build upon that offnof others regardless of the other person's state..and those are my favorite people! I think she just happened to be set on Perry and didn’t really care to meet the other guys.
