Just found your channel, what a coincidence. It is so amazing to see these fantastic sights again. I had the same route down to Villa O'Higgins and to Passo Roballo and the same story with the Salvaconducto in December 2023. The Chilean border guards allowed to use their wifi (starlink) but even after 90 min there was no response. I just called it a day and returned to ruta 7. I enjoyed riding this wonderful road one more time and with different views. I'll try to catch up on your videos and see where our paths crossed or overlapped. Safe travel!

It's a shame there's no prior warning about the Salvoconducto... a very long journey if you've made the mistake of not completing that form! I'm sure your travels were just as wonderful as ours. It really is. Granted it is more tiring riding a motorcycle vs a car, but I feel you get so much more out of it 😊 thanks for watching our video

It's all part of the travel... lesson learnt that we need to be more prepared at border crossings! The views in this area was incredible so we didn't mind too much! Thanks for watching 😊

I was there last december/23. The dust from this last part of Carretera Austral ripped both my front fork seals... We discovered about the "Salvo Conducto" just hours before crossing the Chilean border. As this border have no conection with the migratory system, you must issue this paperwork and print it in order to cross in this remote place. We had luck!

@@tworidewildI found out about the "Salvo Conducto" at Google Maps. I opened the map and clicked on the location of the pass, there were some comments from people warning about the paperwork.

Good to know about the Salvo Conducto, I never ran into that on my trip down there probably due to passing through major border crossings like San Sebastián. Something I’ll be aware of the next time, cheers. Btw the ferry ride from Caleta Yungay to Puerto Natales was awesome, long overnight journey but well worth it.

We wish we'd remembered about this after our turn around. This was a great place to cross over though, with lovely scenery. That's good to know about the ferry as we did look into it when we found it about it.

That's awesome that you're doing a similar trip. It honestly is the best thing we've ever done! We only came across the salvo conducto in Paso Roballo, but I'm sure there's other Chilean borders that have the same process. Always worth while to research beforehand 😊 thanks for watching!

Hey folks. Just found your channel. I want to watch right from the start of your journey. Your videos don’t seem to be in order. Not sure why KZbin does not allow sorting. Unless I don’t have a clue. Very interested. I have rode many of the same place.

Hey! That's annoying that it's not allowing you to watch our videos in order. Have you tried clicking on the videos tab, and then sort by latest? You should be able to scroll down to the bottom to our first video. Thanks for watching our video 😊

@@tworidewild thanks for the rapid response. Spent a couple of hours and figured it out. Will binge tomorrow. Can you at some point do a gear review. Both bike and personal gear. Also. How the heck you getting such clear audio while riding? Need to know:)

Hope you enjoy the binge watch 😊 A gear review would be a good idea, maybe once we've done a few more thousand KM's and given it a good test. We use a purple panda lavalier tucked intot the helmet with a dead cat installed. It takes a few tries to get the correct placement and sometimes we have to adjust it because of the wind.
