I don't know what country you are from, but that's not the case in England. HRT can be prescribed by a GP, but anything related to gender dysphoria requires a referral to a specialist gender dysphoria clinic, of which there are only 7 in the country. Then there's a waiting list & multiple consultations, before any actual treatment is decided on.

Sometimes facial feminization surgery emphasizes the wrong things and makes the wrong decisions imo, so does masculinization surgery. One of our patients wanted a stronger jawline and stg, the doctor and I were both like u literally look like a cute guy already, please do not do a jaw surgery. We just felt it might make him look totally over the top and he was already pretty masculine looking. Extremely interesting procedure though
