They're barbell rows, you should to chest supported rows instead of these if they make you pass out bud
@ResistanceQuest4 жыл бұрын
Breathing during rows can be tricky. You need to sneak a new breath in between reps and keep your core and lower back tight during the pull. Passing out is usually caused by not enough oxygen to the brain . Hope this helps

No wonder his back was bothering him with all those fucking reverse hypers! lol
@Chris888953 жыл бұрын
Reverse hypers actually make your lower back feel a lot better, when the weight comes down it decompresses the discs while pumping blood into the low back. That's why he (and many others including yours truly) warm up with them prior to squatting or deadlifting.
@totallyraw13133 жыл бұрын
@@Chris88895 I don't see a problem using light weight on the reverse hyper, but when the weight gets heavy, it can over stretch the ligaments in the lumbar spine. Ask Mark Ripetoe about the reverse hyper. He got rid of all his reverse hypers years ago because too many people were complaining that it gave them lower back pain! Additionally, the reverse hyper is a very poor glute and hamstring exercise the way it's normally performed.
@Chris888953 жыл бұрын
@@totallyraw1313 I don't think it's the exercise itself or even the intensity, people have some really atrocious form with it. Most people just swing the weight up, they "hyper extend" at the top of the movement (which is a big no no for the low back) and then it screws them up. Doing it properly and not swinging ensures that the weight is reasonable and it makes hyper extending nearly impossible. Also, contracting the abs/glutes at the top always makes me feel it big time throughout my glutes/hamstrings.
@totallyraw13133 жыл бұрын
@@Chris88895 Agree. I actually do the exercise using single leg at a time with heavy ankle weights and pause at the top for 2 sec. This is a better way to do it imo.
