I had the pleasure of seeing him perform live in Houston, TX in I'll say 1985 after i moved from Baltimore,Md. He once attended school at Morgan State University in Baltimore. Mr L.L. Smith is from Richmond,VA. It rained that night he was going to do two shows. Maybe forty people at the most showed up. No one came for the second show. So he told those of us that came for the first show to stay put and he'd do another show with different music. What a blessing to get a twofer. Both shows were great!!!

Lonnie Liston Smith is a true American Icon. He has composed and recorded hundreds of tracks for numerous albums with a cosmic vibe that is uniquely his own. Rejuvenation is a collection of six songs that defined his conceptual thought and approach to a groove during the mid 80s Jazz era. It's the kind of compilation that defines improvisational space in a controlled setting with phenomenal musicians, powerfully executing at the top of their game!
