Correct me if I’m wrong but the point of a clutch is to grab so you can move in gear so Im just trying to understand why you’d oil the plates

I’m very curious and need input. I bought a bike with a rekluse auto clutch in it and would really like to switch back to a manual clutch. How would I go about that
