honestly man way smaller businesses have produced killer stem algos, at this point Pioneer just doesnt care about it cause its not that hard or novel to do at this point

It will always be a quality vs resources question So do you bring the best possible stems separation, and then tell people to get better hardware or use a lower quality option if they don't want to? Or to prepare the stems in advance? That's the VDJ approach (but you can decide which of the 3 options you choose) Or do you only support specific hardware where the hardware can always handle it base on specific chipsets? That's the djay pro approach Or do you make your stems separation lightweight enough that it will tun on anything without the need for preparation, but with less focus on quality? That's the Rekordbox approach

Just to be clear, you have to reanalyze all your tracks for the radar to work? If so, do you need all forms of analyzing to occur? When you think of grids moved and cue points from your existing library, this would make you have to do a lot of work

You’re probably the best person to ask. I have a FLX - 10. If I move the jog wheel on deck, one it triggers the stems on deck for to toggle on and off. Which is a huge problem if you are scratching or moving the jog wheel on deck one while deck floor is playing. I thought it was a hardware issue and got another FX 10 and it still does it. Any possible solution?

When i connected it to my pioneer ddj rzx, the three display screen on the mixer was not showing anything, nothing displayed on the screen and jog monitor display is not working aswell.... I can't seem to get the link option in export mode... I usually hook up my XDJ-XZ and browse music in export mode and load it trough link. Where do I find this option? It doesn't show up when connecting the dj unit to the laptop with usb, like it used to in version 6. Could someone please help?

VirtualDJ8 for me has worked the best in terms of Stems and such (on the fly that is). And while it doesn't sound perfect, it gets the job done in terms of acapellas or instrumentals and such.

Hi Chris! I have a big problem to unlock the free plan features. I can’t register at Owner / Product Register because is greyed out. When I plug my FLX10, the features are unlock and at the bottom right of the screen shows an upgrade plan window and is annoying. When the FLX10 is unplug the features are lock again and I can’t still make the “owner registration” and the same window shows up. Please help!

stems still suck and i didnt read anything about better bpm scanning, its really annoying when the programm gets 50% of the pbm wong and u have to "help" it. i only have 1500 tracks or something 20% of them prolly still have the wrong bpm even after i tryd to help the detection thing with other bpm ranges etc. i think thats like a thing that should just work its way to important.

Chris I was looking on the website and they were saying if you subscribe to the pioneer thing it will do a better job at analyzing the choons and better results for grid alignment. Wonder if it actually does a better job cuz fixing the grids for the entire library would be nice to have and I could unsubscribe after it analyzes the library.

hi chris do you know how i make my FLX6 unlock rekordbox 7? it is still in trial. in version 6 it was just to start up to unlock hardware. version 7 it says trial 30 days, need a subscription plan.

I believe it forces you onto a trial when you first use it. I *think* when the trial runs out your hardware unlock will still work (without the paid for features)

You can now simply register your device via the UI. After that it doesn't need to be connected to RB anymore to unlock its features. It's like a constant hardware unlock.

Stems were never broke dude they designed the software so you can separate the tracks quickly and you can’t even hear the artifacts while mixing it takes 5 seconds to separate a track while serato takes much longer even though it’s cleaner .

Still very far from being a release...I just played a Live set on my channel and the audio on my DDJ-FLX10 often froze and produced annoying noises...back to 6.8.5! As for the new functions... well... I think that if I have done without them until now, I can still do without them for the foreseeable future...

Hi Chris, please help me!! When I delete tracks from a playlist it deletes them from my USB for some reason. Also when I delete a playlist it removes the tracks from that playlist from my USB too!! I removed an older version of rekordbox and downloaded 7 to see if that would solve the issue but it's still the same. I've looked everywhere but I can't work out how to turn this setting off!! Please help me!!! :(

LOL same. Installed and run it looked like it had crashed already. Stems still aweful. Beatgrids still awful. Auto Cue Points now? Not even gonna try it because it still cannot find the "first Beat" 50% of the time when i set it to drop a Cue on the first Beat LOL. Performance improvements, not really seen anything to be honest. Removed the customization altogether from the "Related Tracks" section LOL. I did find one thing i liked you can now split your Library Browsing Horizontally, kinda neat but the bottom half doesn't have the functionality of the Top half when you do this. WTF?!?!? Well there is always Rekordbox 8.

I finally downloaded it after the website was down last night, re-anylised all my tracks and had a play: All the beatgrids and BPMs were wrong! Aaaaaaaaaah! What is the point of a waveform if you aren't going to align the beatgrid to it? What's the point of automatic cueing if all the beatgrids are wrong!? I like the track suggestion stuff but I nearly threw the lot out of the window when all the tracks it suggested were wrong BPMs and the beatgrids were out.

@@ReallyChrisM It was 50/50 whether the streaming suggestions were aligned or not. I never noticed the BPM being out on streamed music before but some of them were well off. I had to switch to vinyl mode in my head and just ignore the screen.

I’m happy to try the new features, still happy. I have my 1210 M5G‘s at home. I really think that they’re doing a little too much when it comes to the suggestion we’re going to figure out with AI what tracks you should put together to play that’s kind of the point of being a fucking DJ though.
