"Into the Future" is a very underrated pack. They really went out with a bang. I love how much effort they put into turning every single asset in the game into a futuristic version, everything from taxis to phones to showers to beds. And the houses in Oasis Landing are great. Some of the best EA has done.

Ngl the very first time i saw the ep, i thought it was a nobody-wants futuristic ep.... But there are a lot actually! The feature that you can change the future, see your descendants, its something that i found very rich for story!

From the looks of it, EA must have thought, "Hey since it's the last EP, let's go all out!" and went crazy with the nice modern builds. Most of the style is pretty futuristic and not 2010s future. Modern is not my thing but I do appreciate the modern done right.

I think personally I truly do like modern houses, I just don't usually like them in the Sims, especially the plastic looking sims 4

This pack is sooo underrated and it's all because most players haven't taken the time to fully explore what game play this pack provides. If you actually take the time to play around with it for a bit, you suddenly find yourself having alot of fun. I wish more players would try it

I'm only now realising that The Sims 3 started as being set in the past and the very last expansion pack for it was set in the future. How clever of them.

Into the Future is tied for my FAVOURITE Sims 3 pack. I cannot overstate not only how pretty the pack it, but also how much fun it is! You have all those hologram appliances, you can make simbots, you can alter the future, you can meet your descendants and things like the Future Technology skill aren't just an extra you could do, you literally have to get good at that skill in order to have a pleasant experience, because you unlock better food and better quality food and drinks at the food synthesizer, you can fly around (essentially teleporting) with a jetpck without hurting yourself, you can go really fast with the hoverboard etc... Plus i love how much they stuck to the theme: the shower works with waves and your sim doesn't even have to get naked, you synthesize food without having to make it, you can program to have a specific dream in your sleeping pod, you can go up and down the floors with a tube that takes just two tiles, the cars are slightly levitating and soooo much more. Plus, as you've seen, they really pulled it off with the houses, you can't really find a really ugly home because they're all not only well built but well furnished aswell. They didn't fall in their usual "big mansion = big empty rooms" and they maintained a simple color consistency that really works, plus those little touches of color or neon light really seal the deal. I can't believe we went from this beauty to what followed a year later..............

ITF is clearly a quality pack, I think people just wanted something different. And yes let's not think about how EA built Oasis Landing, then immediately after the ugly af willow creek haha

@@Rekowcski tbh i can't wrap my head around why ITF isn't more popular, it's not even broken (**cough** **cough** *Island Paradise*) and it's full of fun content to mess around with, besides being probably the best looking pack for those of us into sci-fi and futuristic stuff.

I agree with everything, and the fact that you can have multiple new careers in the future, new collectibles, dreams in a dream pod that give you temporary benefits etc. (I can't name all of the futuristic gameplay functions right now), +you can have quests and a small storyline from Emit Relevart, and they essentially changed almost everything to fully fit the futuristic theme (like even the gravestones, if you commit to it, you'll have every single item in its futuristic version, nothing will take you out of this experience), it's really impressive. I just think that it's either 1) people are not keen on this concept and 2) they don't explore enough of the pack to learn how much content it has. It's definitely one of the best packs ever made for The Sims, and my personal favourite from TS3.

a load of the things are parody's (i know there are some that are futurama parodies aswell) another compelling one is Ephrems ancestral plot.. if that doesn't sound similar to the name of the dude that built the first warp core in Star trek (Zefram Cochrane) then idk what does.. i heard that and i was instantly like HMMMMMMMMMMMMM SUS (that and the fact one of the "fridges" they added with the pack literally being a replicator.. and the direct reference when you drink earl grey tea in i believe both sims 3 and 4. both make some kind of reference to captain picard who would always order "earl grey tea, Hot" at the replicator)

Amorous Abode holds a special place in my heart, because it is usually where my Sim's future descendants will live in the future whenever I visit Oasis Landing the first time with less than 50k. And that's usually when I try to play the game legit and not cheat the funds in lol.

Cosidering the "Cubian solo Home" has galdys and chell from "portal" . It makes more sense to have the contemporary furniture. Because it looks like apartment from the beginning of "portal 2". You accidently skipped the basement I think on "Ephrem Ancestral plot". You accidently skipped the basement I think on "Jairo's homestead".

You CAN just take up permanent residence in the future. There is nothing stopping you. Legitimately. You’ll just be a sim who disappeared one day to the past timeline. So it’s good to know there are beautiful homes to [steal] move into in Oasis Landing! 😄

@@grazynawolska8160 oh I love them all! For a long time I used to play in bridgeport. For the majoriy of my playing the sims History to be honest. I think it was because I was a city girl myself. But now that I've grown up and moved to a smaller town I appreciate the other sims towns more. But honestly I love them all. (Accept barnacle bay, it's just a sunset valley copy with a boat restaurant)They all have their asthetics though.

I agree, this pack has one of the best EA buildings. Their beauty is amazing especially if we consider how simple the build mode is compared to Sims 4. My favourite Sims 3 buildings were in World Adventures (I love those Egyptian palaces) and Roaring Heights (I am into Art Deco). Thanks for this review series.

Love your comments on this one. The concept they went for with ITF is sensational! Absolutely love its architecture and aesthetics. Not to mention of how good it goes with the Seasons, especially spring. The blooming trees all around the world and the grays and whites of the builds is a perfect match for me. And those holographic plants are the best.

Lowkey is one of my favourite worlds to play and use for inspiration, I think this world began my years of making modern houses where I went crazy with ECO ROOFS as they did here, I do think most of the buildings are awesome! I would even use the sad part of the city and copy some of the houses and do a quick renovation in my world id mostly play in.

you can have pets i believe just no cats dogs or horses.. small pets still work and you can actually catch them in the desert sometimes ( i have found a few reptiles and birds in the desert area)

I'm one of the rare simmers who went straight from TS2 into TS4 without the TS3 step in between. I would absolutely love this expansion for TS4! I really don't like building or playing in modern builds but these futuristic designs have given me some buildspo today! Time to redo the Landgraab's Oasis Springs mansion into a TS3-inspired future house 🥰

So, again I'm commenting before actually watching the video because I really like Oasis Landing. I haven't done it yet, but I have a long range plan to take the community lots and move them to Lunar Lakes so that one is a fully futuristic world. But again, I've never looked at the occupied houses so this is very interesting to me.

I’ve always loved Oasis Landing, the houses are amazing and the world itself it’s beautiful. Most of the simmers I’ve seen don’t really like or play in this world since it’s the last expansion and that makes me very sad I’m very happy for this video even though I’m a year late😂

This is one of my favorites! I would always abandon the original neighborhood to live in this one if it suits my Sims! 💕 However, I think you forgot to check the basement/top floor of some of the buildings 🧐 there are some very well hidden elevators(future houses) and stairs(old houses), but it's alright, I'm happy with this episode 🤗

I always forget this pack exists!🤐 I never bought it. I wasn't interested in going to the future. For me this pack always represented the beginning of the eara where EA officially gave a fu*k. (Abandoning the sims 3 to release an incomplete sims 4 🤑🤢) But now that I see those houses... At least there was some love put into this pack.

The houses in oasis landing are stunning in appearance, however I hate the fact the rooms and the houses are so big with minimal decor it sometimes feels empty and my sims take hours to get around

Not my style at all, but looking at it from your perspective, I can see potential. I like the old houses alongside the futuristic city - there are always holdouts. lol If you do Nraas at all, while I may be making this all up, I believe there's a way to play in Oasis Landing... at least I think I remember something about that. Taken as a whole it is a pretty world. And some of the items are fun. :)

I believe I have an inherent prejudice against it. I tend more towards either Victorian or Bohemian, or some bizarre mixture of the two. lol
