The Dean House is a converted firehouse and he has the hidden "arsonist" trait. His dad lives with his buddies in the Grampas house and I think there's something in the dad's bio about the mom dying in a fire.

The Jones family bio says that Hannah inherited this house from her uncle. But his whole family is buried in the backyard, and urn with uncle's ashes is in that separate bedroom near the old TV. That's why this house refers to the creepy story of Winchester mansion, it was made for ghosts. when I first played with this family, I did not know about the graves here and they scared me when they appeared
@Rekowcski3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the backstory, that makes sense. Having his urn in the house would drive me crazy with the ghost, at least in the backyard they often just wander around outside, at least some of them.

Yes, Dean families house is a old fire station. Towers were used in the past to hang the hoses up to dry.

They're still used for that. Many modern firehouses have a tower or similar for this.
@theforgottenmovies3265 Жыл бұрын

- Your assignment of beds to the Broke family members actually resembles mine. I also make the kids share a trailer with the old folks, the teen guy and his father share a trailer (because they are guys), and that girl gets her own trailer with the baby crib. I never got the chance to get her pregnant, though. That crib in the trailer was used up by an adopted baby, and the Brokes adopted a baby for free because Flat Broke wanted it. Then, the Broke family got a full house.
@Rekowcski3 жыл бұрын
That’s a great idea... then you could get ruby pregnant as soon as one of the older sims passes away. Sorry I just love 8 sim households haha

The last house is loosely based off the Winchester House, and there is so much Lore involved in this house. The Winchester house was filled with rooms that led to nowhere, and there is eery Lore for that, as well. While I would rate this house a 10/10, it is a difficult one to play (especially routing issues and the constant ghost scares). But, I think you might find their Lore (as well as the Winchester House Lore) to be fascinating.

@Kevinsko13 жыл бұрын
4:36 Why did you say it like that? xD I always assign the trailers on the Broke lot like the following: I give the left one with the baby crib to Ruby Broke, just like you. The middle one I give to Flat, Flo and Skip Broke.. Flat and Flo are the parents of Skip. The right one fits more to Flat and Flo, I agree with you on that, but this one I give to Buck and his two children.. the kids share a room which underlines how poor they are..like Trigger is a teen and Susie is the only girl.. they both should have their own space but it's not in the cards for them. 8:06 Oh I remember when I saw this lot for the first time.. I loved it and still do. 14:35 This one is indeed suppose to be an abandoned firehouse. With 'Ambitions' installed I move him out of there and turn it back into one and let him work there. 18:05 😭😂 20:28 I think this is just suppose to be a basement since the basement tool as we know it from TS3 was not given from the beginning. It came in a later patch after Riverview was released already. Great video as always and I am really looking forward for more! PS: Sorry for the long comment. 😅
@Rekowcski3 жыл бұрын
You can write me as many long comments as you want, I will read them all haha... I am so happy you enjoyed the video, and thank you for clarifying that indeed is a fire house :P
@blondshadow94518 ай бұрын
i totally converted that firehouse into a two bedroom. i walled in the tower space and made it into a 2-story bedroom with a ladder to get between floors. in my game, i was living in there as a single guy but he got pregnant (mods lmao) and had a child. so i ended up using the tower room for the childs bedroom. It ended up working beautifully. its tricky but i fit a single bed and nightstand in on the first floor, then a dresser and reading nook on the second floor.

I can't see other comments so I'm not sure if anyone said it, but the Jones house gives strong Winchester vibes. Like lots of stairs and odd rooms and additions to the house that made it a monstrosity in order to appease spirits.

The weirdly colorful bathrooms is because the Sims 3 is semi set in the 50s, colorful bathrooms were a fad that started in the 50s but died off by the late 70s. But the toilets, sink, and baths being various shades of yellow or brown is way more 70s. Sims 3 is supposed to take place even before The Sims, by roughly 25 years. That's why you have a child versions of Mortimer Goth and his future wive Bella running around in one of the towns, and a young adult Agnes Crumplebottom in another. While the Sims 2 is set roughly 25 years after The Sims, but the Sims 3 also has technology that was modern at the time of release, which is why the fact it's only kind of set in the fifties. Along with the fact that the Sims 3 also loves to pull styles from basically any decade between the 50s, 2000s, along with some scifi futuristic stuff, leaves the fact that it's supposedly set in the 50s extremely hard to tell by just looking.

Hey friend. That Jones house is something that reminds me of the Winchester House in San Francisco, Ca. It has lots of weird rooms and stuff like what you found in the Jones house. If you look up the Winchester House, you can see pics of the house inside and out. And this was a real house built by the widow of the Winchester Firearms Co. founder in the 19th century. It has stairs that lead to nowhere, windows in the floors, on inside walls and doors that open to the open air on the upper floors. Look it up. It's an icon in San Francisco. Once was the tallest building in the city til the 1906 earthquake. I once use to go to my grand parents house in West Virginia and they actually had a working claw foot bathtub that I took a bath in as a little boy. It was so cool. And a wringer washing machine and a 40s era radio that didn't work.
