Don Lothario was actually teleported back to the past by the Calientes. He ended up on the McDermott farm that is close to his house (which is actually a silo). Don Lotharios lot was actually a part of that families property, but they decided to let him live there before he finds a job and a normal looking house. That would explain why there were toys at the top, they belog to that family.

I'm pretty sure the Lin household is meant to kind of clashing. If I recall correctly, either the family description or the house description mentions that the Lins can't decide on anything.

Yes! This episode made me start reading the sims bios (off camera) before looking at the house. One of them wanted classic and one wanted modern so they cut the house in half haha. I love it once I realized

0:37 This house and family is actually based on the "American Gothic" painting by Grant Wood. After I heard that I liked the house 10x more than I did at the beginning. 6:12 🎃 6:39 I could be wrong but I think this barn is suppose to belong to the McDermott lot too. The story is that they let him stay in there since Don is homeless in Riverview. This explains why there are toys and all in the attic. No excuse for the farm looking that hideous though, lol. 8:11 - 8:16 💀 9:37 This farm really is beautiful. 12:45 - 12:48 True that. I enjoyed this video as always and I am open with whatever you want to judge next. TS2 could be interesting too .. it's been a long time since those houses have been built so that could be interesting. Have a nice weekend. 🙏🏼
@Rekowcski3 жыл бұрын
Oh my goodness I didn’t realize. I could tell they were referencing something but I didn’t make the connection. Don’s barn being on the same property as someone else makes sense I didn’t think of that either. Of course they are separate lots for gameplay sake. I’m glad they didn’t just smoosh him into a family like in TS4. I’m not sure what to do next but I think the best course of action is to do the base games of all 4 games (maybe not ts1 we shall see) before doing dlc. Ironically all the beautiful houses in ts4 are actually IN the base game, all the ugly comes from the dlc haha Thank you so much for watching x

Ok, so I just found your channel and though I have been playing Sims 3 for about a year, having left Sims 4 as well, I have never gone through the houses like this so I was interested. Couple things. First, it was a thing back in the day to have the computer in the kitchen because the mother could then easily go back and forth, also so the mom could keep an eye on the kids that were on the computer. So its actually realistic. Second, the tables or desks with just a phone... they didn't want to put too much so that people who played the household could add. Lastly, a lot of the houses having bright weird funky colors and patterns... I felt was a little realistic for someone who bought a previously owned house. 30 to 40 years ago, we didn't really have houses flippers or renovations done before someone moved in so much. It was up to the new people to renovate how they wanted it to be not expect it to be already in an aesthetic they liked. So I always thought of it as they moved in and needed to fix those things. Or to prompt the player to make changes or show the kinds of things that can be done with the color wheel, "See you can do this or that" kind of thing. OH! The lamp not positioned right? Is everything in your house always positioned right? Mine sure isn't.

Riverview is definitely better than Sunset Valley in terms of houses and families to play with. You should check the house right across the Willson's house (the last one). It's a really nice family house that I always use when I'm in this town.

I have a feeling that I am going to throw a bunch of comments (and since I am on my cell phone, I cannot edit to add more), but I had to pause when you did not even take a peek at the guest house (nothing outrageous), but a ghost's urn is there, and you need to pick up the Lore. Jon Lessen is loosely based on John Lennon, and the original owner of the house was supposed to be someone famous, as well. I forget if Jon inherited the house, or if the ghost was his mentor, but I absolutely play Jon (because otherwise, he marries this old lady sim, and I create a sim for him to marry, he has good genetics). This house is a 10/10, even though, I do change some of the colors and add on rooms for a family. It is an easy build to work with, and it is one of my favorites to play.
@TheMya1988 Жыл бұрын
I am at the beginning of ratind the Lothario household, and again I have to point out something, it is not a barn, but a grainery. I haven't yet gotten to your rating yet, but if I were to rate it for what Jon deserves, it is far better, but that aside, I give it a 9.

I know people have prefferences and this is ironic and half serious, but rating houses heavily stylized as farm/country houses is kinda pointles. Especially since timeline in Sunset Valley and Riverview is somewhere in 1960-1999, so the design and people's taste was totally different. I think interior design since a few years is getting a huge regress also, cause everything out of white, neutral Ikea-style room tends to be critizized and told that it needs "general renovation".
@FerrariCarr2 жыл бұрын
13:30 Tell me about it. There’s 2 furniture sets in Sims 4 base game in particular that do this, the “Mega” and “Caress” collection. Theoretically, all the items in those collections are supposed to go together if they were all placed in the same room, but the Mega bed doesn’t have a swatch to match the default “Mega” wood tone, and the Mega shelf piece only has 3 wood swatches. The Caress collection is more frustrating, because there’s a metal accenting on some of the furniture that isn’t consistent, and some wood options aren’t available across all the items. So you end up borrowing items from other collections that end up clashing.
@Rekowcski2 жыл бұрын
Sims 4 sets often don't actually include all swatches for all objects. For example you are doing a living room and suddenly you realize that the matching hutch and end tables don't come in the swatch that you used for the other items. So you change it, and now the wallpaper is clashing... but of course there are no swatches of that colour wallpaper to go with the new furniture. Side note: Without DLC, good luck with flooring

Hey Rekowcski, friend. I once did an entire house in black and white, sims included. I mean I painted the entire house black and white. It is hard to do as well. I think I did the Landgraab Estate in Sunset Valley, but moved the Landgraabs out and moved my own sims family in. Funny thing, there is a town here in Florida named Riverview. Never visited it myself. But pass by on my way to visit my mom.
