My official headcanon for Twinbrook since the game came out is that they made all the houses purposefully super fugly so we can fix them with the Architectural Design career. The sims look EXTRA super fug in Twinbrook too so... fashion career 🤣🤣🤣

The last guy in the untitled house is said to have lost his house in a fire so he moved into the barn. There is a dead sim who has his surname and she is buried in a junk yard with his name in the title. So I think it’s implied she was married to him and burnt in the fire. There is also a dead sim identical to her with the exact same face and who also died by fire but has the surname of another sim living in the world. They don’t have any relationship links (I think the creators forgot it or couldn’t be bothered to add it in just like they did with Isla Paradiso) I read on forums years ago that these were two twin sisters who died in a fire caused by the one sister’s husband (the guy in the untitled house) I love the ugliness and weirdness of these houses. Sometimes I like to play with the premade sims in the town and I like seeing how their strange personalities match their even stranger houses

Another theory is that instead of twin sisters they were clones of each other, hence the lack of relationship. the husbands are both into inventing as far as I can remember which helps this theory. one of the husbands made a clone of his wife, for the other guy, is the way the theory goes - then the fire happened

The Pidgin family it's supposed to be inspired on The Beale family from Grey Gardens, which is a true story about two socialites which slowly became riches to rags due to her father's going bankrupt. Their house on The Hamptons it's also very iconic since it's a gilded age cottage which ended up very run-down. Little Eddie it's a queen and a fashion icon.

I like the exterior of Subdivision Model B. The exterior is very clearly based on Mary-Alice Young’s house from Desperate Housewives, which was also the Leave It To Beaver house nearly 50 years beforehand (it didn’t have the dormers back then). Both TV shows were filmed on the same backlot in Hollywood. The mom in the family that lives in this house is dressed like the Leave It To Beaver mom, too! So when the lot description mentions “sitcom” they’re referencing Leave It To Beaver!

There's definitely too many hints of the EA design bureau to be certain on this, but I'm pretty sure a lot of Twinbrook was purposefully made ugly and interesting. It's based off of the Bayous and the Swanee, where pellegra makes you scrawny, and the jasmine and the tear gas smell just fine. I kind of like it.

the foosball table With Dining chairs? I lost it. the washing machine on the front porch takes me back. mom's friend gave us a washing machine...Full of Roaches. so it stayed on the front porch till mom got rid of it. so maybe that's why they kept it outside on the porch?

In my adult life, I have lived in four houses, and three of them have had laundry appliances in their own room. I guess it has to do with where you live. I live in Idaho. The new housing trend is now putting the laundry room right next to the bedrooms, often on the second floor. My thought was "It took them how long to figure this out?"

At 11:20 is that green and white tile supposed to look dirty or is that part of the design? Because honesty it looks like it needs mopping. I actually once had an apartment where the bathroom was off the main bedroom. Nice apartment accept for that. I have to say those bathrooms with the same tile on the walls and floor would drive me crazy. Put the loud color on the floor or the wall and let the other one be plain. I can't imagine walking into some of those bathrooms in real life. Oooo, windows! That last house was interesting and, yes, the "bathroom" where the tub is looks like it used to be a stall. This is a house that tells a story!

Make that the 21:40 ♥ 20:30 That basement is almost what my current flat looked like before they renovated it & I moved in, at least the colour scheme was exactly the same. It has shag pile carpet with green and orange cabinets, yellow walls, brown doors (still has brown doors) a stove that was older than me (I'm middle aged), the shower is still diarrhea green. ~ That's fine, we are 3/4 the way to buy a house.

The trampoline in that big room is quite funny because is honestly trash in a fancy room. The girls use terrible clothes because of the same reasons too, maybe they just bought it in that big charity shops for 50c each piece 🤣

Yesss, yeess another episode of my favorite series arrived. The hunt for ugly green bathrooms, questionable colour pallets and too much windows just begins. Myself I can't tell much about houses featured in this episode, because I just would mostly repeat stuff you actually said in video. But still, I like to learn more about home design and getting a lessons from EA's mistakes (Well I'm more of gameplay focused simmer, but time to time I'm like to renovate existing houses. I'm not felling like being great with it, but it's fun stuff to do).

So Pigeon Roost and the sims who live there are based off of Grey Gardens, where the Aunt and First Cousin of Jackie Kennedy Onassis lived. There's a 1975 film about it, and it's so worth a watch

All that seating in the Portico Model 1 is supposed to like a sales area, to sell the cars (I have not played in Sims 3 for a while, but I do not know how functional it truly is), like a waiting area. However, it is not enough to pull it all off. Sadly, Sims 3 Ambitions just really only gave active careers, not cohesive businesses, like in Sims 2's OFB. There was so much more potential, but EA missed the mark. You definitely need more dlc to come even close to what OFB offered at its launch.

Ugh i never noticed twinbrook ugly houses 😩 i wanna renovate them all lmoa. I can't help myself. Posey palace is the house my ambitions family living in and i found it one of the best in twinbrook. I just put ambitions furniture, changed some walls in a house, added some plants. Third floor is now like a kids room 😅 My inventor got married Sofia who is owner of posey palace 😂

If I had to pick a favourite... it's DEFINITELY posey palace... it's my style, nice a big, but not ugly. Hahah that sounds super fun! Maybe make the kid an architect if they're creative... you can renovate the houses one room at a time and make money while doing it!

Sometimes I think EA just randomize pattern and colors for the furniture or decorations and simply leave it that way. Honestly I did it myself a few times, especially when I was too lazy to make a rug that I wanted, so I was clicking randomize until I got a nice pattern

I have a purple and green kitchen in my actual apartment in real life. The only thing is: purple is used with grey (they are the major colours), and green is just in accents like the towel, the water jug etc. This is a one-room apartment, and I also have purple curtains, light green walls and light beige desk, wardrobe and floor. And I can assure you that this colour combination is really good. Everything depends on tones and... I have an impression like everything looks way better in reality, even the weirdest colour combinations. But not the baby-poo colour matched with orange, of course.😄

Don't worry I trust you, most simmers are better at colours than EA. I think purple is the only colour that can "rescue" green, they go very well together. I like bachelor apartments you can get really creative. I would probably choose a golden yellow that compliments the purple, but honestly both are a little strong so it might be too much.

I also bulldoze every lot and get rid of every household in twinbrook because it's the only swamp land seeing as how I was raised on a bayou I like to redo the houses the way that I remember him which mostly I grew up around old Victorian or colonial houses because that's what we had of course we did have one river rat that live down the road and everybody stayed away from him because we were scared of him you know everybody has one of those in their neighborhood and we have one beautiful farmhouse I like to recreate a lot of what I see in the world

Usually what I do for Twinbrook is make 2 sims; one is a stylist (to fix the sims) and one an architect (to fix the houses)... for my most recent play through, I made bob and eliza pancakes so they are fixing twinbrook haha

I was about to start a Twinbrook World for a new family I just made, and I don’t like any of the houses that they can afford. Considering making a home renovator Sim to move here instead. Maybe a stylist to accompany them. But yeah, I was thinking of dealing with a starter build because I heard this World has a lot of lore and character, but now that I’ve seen what the rest of the World’s homes are like? I’m just making my own lot for my family and giving them more money, because they may as well be rich compared to the average in this World.

@@saravelasco5807 You can still have a family if you budget your time right. You can go do your jobs whenever you have the time, and you can make it so one of the parents is always home. Maybe not a HUGE family, but 2-3 kids should be alright if you are ever in the mood :p
