true. I often play solo, and don't make big big base. Pain in the ass to get the upkeep with big bases, hehe. if not raiding all the time, or 2-4 people in team. And i seen a lot of player that use known KZbinr's base design's 100%, so you can already figure out where TC are. Only take good parts from multiple design's but make my own very strange base from it. And I never built the same base. That have work good for me. Of Course i get raided anyway. hehe. But they need a lot more boom. And i usually hide most of the good stuff outside, Sulfur, GP, Boom, Rockets and the better guns, not near anything, Hide it even outside my compound walls. I wrote down X/Y coordinate, if its hard to remember. Otherwise raiders go around inside compound walls check for hidden stash. And have Auto-turret in the direction. So they wont get that loot. Works good 99% of the times. :)

idk depends. As a solo I actually get onlined, relatively often on console. Always outnumbered. But with my last base i defended against a 2 man and 3 man. now i made the weird 360, base and couldnt defend at all against a 5 man. they just smoked me the whole time and griefed me. Peak downs are a god send for defending and hard to smoke the entire roof and shooting floor, especially on console with no helis. Also here on console, probably the dame on pc too, is people and even these young kids aint stupid. They break through honeycomb just to make sure there isnt some hidden loot. They used 40 rockets, loads of explo, and then still had to soft side for an hour with jackies. WIth the 360 base, and they still didnt get all the loot. i hid a bunch in the furnaces and campfires on the top floors. Small bases I tried, and I just get offlined everynight. Most people are lazy and just want small bases they can smear. That said, im using this as a second base inside the compounds of my old base as a back up bunker. While also having a main base 3 connected externals. I also made a compounded bridge to main island thats also a stable. and a boat base with a farm on top. All as a solo. Best I found is compound walls and more bases. Spread the loot.

BUNKER TESTED AND APPROVED!!! built this bunker base to hold my valuable loot from my main base the enemies noticed raided the new base but failed to find tc and bunker where ALL the boom was. allowing a swift revenge rai. im gonna continue to build this bunker. such a life saver reks.

Used this last wipe i removed the foundation under the window wall and put a refinery. Good base i’d recommend making the frame hqm and hide it with rugs and work benches because as soon as a rocket comes in the twig is gone!!!

First of all, great video my man. Then there´re pros and cons to Reks bases Pro: they are super creative and helpful for new and mid players easy to build with the focus on the right things cheap and easy to maintain + easy to upgrade and extend the base Cons: The basedesign is from Reks lol I once build a base from reks. I went off for about 1 hour. I came back to a raided base with direct way to TC. I found the raider because he´s been stupid enough to kill me. And he told me that it´s my own fault that I got raided because it was easy because everybody knows the reks base LOL. It was a good lesson. Since that day when I build a base I´ve seen in a Reks vid, I give it some kind of twist. Sometimes it is enough to mirror the (doorways and shopfronts i.e.) to confuse the raiders. Anyways... luv ya Reks. Keep it up my man.

Added a shooting floor and bedroom floor, just because by the last day or two of wipe, everyone is raiding. That said, we lived as a team of 3 out of it, and defended it from online raids twice. We also put a shell around the core and a refiner room. Thank you for the great starter/solo base. It’s super flexible

Been running this as the basis of my base for my current wipe. No roof access, armoured doors, high qual bunker and ceiling, sheet metal walls and a refinery room bolted onto the side. Been raided 5 times but they’ve never got to TC and only managed to get everywhere else once. Keep all the boom and best kit in the bunker. Seriously OP. Now my go to base design. Thanks dude.

To be fair, almost every base I ever build in real servers, I build a 1x1 or 1x2 first. Anyone not doing that is just asking for trouble. Even if its just to secure your loot while you find the spot to build your main it's ALWAYS essential to have a small starter somewhere

No starter, and at least on console, the twig frame is shootable through the top of the metal square it's inside, so splash damage from a rocket or explo ammo would destroy the twig frame, forcing you to leave a socket empty to use the bunker

It has weak spot, if you break any halfwall/sealing/foundation from triangle on right side from the TC(triangle where you put roof triangle) = triangle sealing TC will open.

Does anyone else seen for the bunker, "Line of sight blocked" icon? When trying to put the frame into that foundation because it is red and won't show up blue. I got a feeling this bunker was patched.

Beware when honeycombing ! You know that square foundation you hide a twig frame in ? When honeycombing that frame foundation, if terrains forces you to use a lowered foundation, whatever you do don't have a floor triangle at the same height as the twig frame or you are screwed. LowFoundation+Halfwall+capped with a triangle floor = non working bunker

Stone no honeycomb = 4 rockets. Stone with honey comb = 8 rockets. Sheet metal no honeycomb = Rockets. Stone bunker + door Sheet bunker + garage doors = 14-17 rockets. The raid cost can be limited further with a mix of mostly rockets and explo. If you wanted just the loot rooms it's 3 rockets per garage door and 1 rocket per sheet metal door. So for full raided base in stone it's like 12ish and for sheet metal it's like 20-24ish. For most people if you're playing for 1-3 days like most people this base will slap. If you want to double bunker on a single triangle vertical space there's a mechanic that Reksmore's done a video on. But the roof placement is on a square thatch foundation and it's on the outside of the base. If you keep placing half walls from the outside and the triangles that connect to them specifically you can technically make a triple or quad bunker with 1-2 pancake layers with little to no effort besides the first placement. Triple with 1 pancake is best.

I like the layout, not much different than the 2x1 with high primary foundation then low foundation and the low triangle then come out with triangles to the bunker. Think you have one similar on your channel. Thing I don’t like about this one seems difficult to build in stages. Those low walls burn through the stone might not have 6000 stone and time to build all this all at once. Love the channel though!

Honest feedback - build videos like this have me feel peeps don’t understand how Rust works. Best build videos would start with a “starter” to build off of and incrementally build out. Putting boxes down while base is wide open in rust seems - odd? Good video - just some feedback - got a thumbs up from me!

I feel you, and I usually try to when possible, but especially when showcasing certain mechanics it's not really an option. This is meant to be a stealthy long term base or a core to a base. In either case, you're gonna need a separate starter base for any kind of designs like this or god bunker type set ups. The alternative is only doing the same bases over and over

This is far more complex than a 2x1 (=> unpratical) and yet almost as strong (2 doors + a foundation to soft side OR directly 1 wall to TC => 2 C4). Did you tell how much it costs? I love your videos but can't take a base design seriously when it takes this long and requires this many resources to get a door down. It really limits the base to only working in super remote areas. It would be really helpful if you included an MVP step that can be put down very quickly with minimal resources. It can use wooden door frames that get destroyed later in progression.

I built this and randomly today my bunker stopped opening. I hadn’t done anything different I literally took a 2 hour break and now the twig roof won’t connect to my frame to open bunker. I upgraded frame to sheet metal is perhaps that’s why and I screwed myself!? Any help would be awesome

Interesting design. Not sure how suitable it is as a starter unless you play as a group for setting it up. One thing I'd like to mention is that you want the foundation where you place the square frame to be HQ and the frame upgraded to sheet. That way it is really hard to notice the frame holding up the bunker, as other materials for the foundation will cause z fighting between the objects and a twig frame will take splash damage if raided through doors and the bunker is then useless. I think this is pretty decent for a pvp focused wipe where you don't "value" the base as much, since it's pretty vulnerable compared to other designs.
