Skeletal Procurator - HS West Wing - Solo Artist Challenge - Everquest Project 1999 Enchanter Solo

In today's video, we tackle the west wing in Howling Stones and knock another mob off our solo artist challenge list. The Skeletal Procurator is the boss of the west wing who has a nasty spell line up and is in a crowded area. We crawl to him in today's video and take him out while helping some guildies get their corpses back. Hope you enjoy!

how are you swapping to your self hitting your GGZ ring and swapping back to your pet so fast. is there a hotkey for that?

i use a "switch to last target" key and I set the U key for select myself. that way I can switch between myself and a few targets if needed. In one of the videos I break down the exact key combination I use to do the break charm process in less than a second.

Nice CR down there! Howling Stones was probably the toughest place to drag corpses in EQ.

yea, it can definitely be a pain to get them lol. At least when keys are soulbound, you can summon corpses with a necro.

Nice to see you getting into it in HS here on the Green server. :) I don't think I'd be able to start all over again, haha! Def adds a nice bit of challenge to the whole affair, though.

Since there was a CR in this video, can I ask--how do you, as a chanter, CR in HS when there is a slip up? Do you need outside help?

well, the CR in this video was actually me helping two friend;'s that died deep in there. At this time in the server, keys for the zone were not even soulbound, so to do a CR in howling stones at this time, you would either need a second back up key or rely on someone else to drag and rez you. I haven't been on p99 in a few months, but I believe keys are now soulbound which means you can at least get back in the zone haha. YOu can definitely do CRs as an enchanter with no gear. Your pacifies may get crit resisted more, but i've done it hundreds of times. It's a good idea to keep a back up set of gear in these situations too though.

Did you just target a mob through the walls in gnome form? Didn't know you could do that.

i use the /target command. use /tar +mobs name and you cna target the closest one to you. Very helpful trick for breaking rooms.

@@gladeous4161 Need to put a _ where spaces normally are, so it would be something like /target a_sepulcher_skeleton, or /target a_sepul would work too

You make this look so easy. I'm only level 16 on my chanter so I don't have half this stuff yet, but I hope I can learn the "don't freak out" bit about being a chanter. Rolled a DElf on Green, but thinkin I might roll a high elf and see how that goes. Maybe it is just charm at 16 being limited, but it seems like i cant get through a fight without 4 or 5 recharms. (feels like it,not sure if that is how it actually plays out). Thx for advice on the gnome view / bind sight, hadn't thought of those!

it gets easier for sure as you level. You don't have many tools at 16 and charm can be a bit unreliable until 35 or so. Get your charisma as high as you can if you're going to be charming. Delf has it's perks. You can break charm with hide for example. But I always prefer High Elf to min max my stats. Both are fully capable of the same stuff though. I always say play what you want.

i charm all the way through, but the animations can be used decently when you slow. I rarely use them myself though

@@RektYou If you ever get bored, a lowbie (ie, 8 ->24) level range video of enchantor would be sweetly appreciated. :) I looked in your past videos and don't see anything very low level, so you may not have an enchantor that could do those videos.. But anyway, it'd be awesome to see how you work with the limited spells at those ranges. Your videos are a great help overall for mechanics and areas. Selfish request for the level range, but I think it would be valuable to more than just my selfish arse.
