Lyrics:
Mut the dangerous dead
Trouble me no longer
I inscribe thy name
I threaten thee with the second death
I kill thy name
And thus I kill thee again
In the afterlife
Bau terror of the living
Angry spirits of the condemned dead
I write thy name
I burn thy name in flames
I kill thy name
And thus thee are accursed
Even into the underworld
Mut the troublesome dead
Plague me no longer
Thou art cursed
Thy name is crushed
Thine clay is smashed and broken
Thy vegeance against the living
Shall come to naught

@@EvilSimon94 do you listen to nile? Which albums do you know from them? Extreme death metal can't be so creative anyways... But if you listen closely to nile albums with George on drums you will see a lot of different variations and plays... Plus he does it all at crazy speeds. Everyone who knows from EXTREME DEATH metal admits that George is the greatest and there are a lot of good drummers after him. Especially Laureno is nothing close to Kollias.

After the first lineup with Chief Spires, Pete Hammoura, this is the second lineup I really like and miss. These guys made some sick music and also not to forget the sound was so good back then. Now with digital, things are overly processed and the worst thing these days in metal is drum mixes, that sound like a cheap drum machine with lack of dynamics and the live sound.
@Sxrillez
@Sxrillez 14 жыл бұрын
These guys have a lot of talent. The drummer's blast beats sound painful to do. It takes a lot of muscle to do blast beats. The guitars are really good too. Nile has blistering riffs and their solos are really catchy. Band members of Nile have studied ancient Egyptian history and have incorporated Egyptian themes into their music. They even have that Egyptian/Middle Eastern sound in their guitars. I can understand why older people don't like this music. It's the awesome thundering vocals right?

Wutthinan Kamai I think most of the songs in this album are really the best. Kheftiu assar butchiu, churning the maelstrom, the blessed dead. They somehow don’t make em as brutal as they used to.

Wutthinan Kamai oh yeah. No question about dark funeral. Very true to their cause. I am saying Nile does not make em that straight out brutal as they used to any more. Sanders has gotten too artsy fartsy like the Fleshgod apocalypse or the erstwhile sepultura. Keep it true and brutal.

If someone wants to know what is riff, show em this. Can’t get over my head even after all these years how fucking heavy this song is!

I saw these guys play live back in 2005 with King Diamond on the "Annihilation" tour. Great musicianship, but the set was kind of short. Most people were their to see KD, but it was still awesome.

I am surprised they'd have chosen this one off the album to make a video though.... seems like the Winds of Horus would come first

the subjects of which were bled in from thrash metal and subjects like spirituality and philosophy are mostly depicted in a morbid fashion . but the term death metal came from ppl categorizing bands as death like metal cause agents and spectators were noticing similarities. and its no secret the bands would influence one another, there was a lot of riff and theme stealing going on in those days too......but it's inevitable that themes would become more brutal.

no i am talking about the original intention of death metal. of cause it can be varied but nile for example is just partly death metal. they have so many songs that last 7 min or longer with 5 changes in it and no lyrics referred to the topic death. if you take all things that matter to classify a genre and then change most of it you aren't able to recognize it as what it is. nile are great musicians but i think most of what they do or did can't be considered as death metal.

At first I didn't like Nile either . .. i'll be honest I was like "nile" wtf who are these guys they sound like shit ! Then I just got into heavier stuff forgot I didn't even like Nile and now I fucking love them ! I mean other than the jonas brothers who else do you know that had two guitarist that do vocals while they play especially tech metal not to mention the bass player does vocals too ! And at the same time sound brutal as this in my opinion Nile is under rated !

@LordLandyWrimst This might be noise to you, but it's perfectly well-composed and constructed music to me. This was noise to me at first, but then I developed an ear for it. This is death metal,you either love it or hate it. I too think Elvis is the king and Cat is chill but this is a form of art you won't understand unless you open your mind a little bit and expand your horizons.
